September reminded me to…

✔️ Rest isn’t wasted time - even if my brain still wants to fight me on it sometimes.

✔️ Starting my day with gratitude, prayer, and a warm cup of tea grounds me more than diving straight into my bust days.

✔️ Challenging my body through yoga feels powerful - but still loving.

Honestly, these showed up in the smallest ways - like curling up on the couch without guilt,

Choosing to sip my tea slowly with gratitude before the rush of the day,

And unrolling my mat for yoga that left me feeling strong and cared for. 💜

These little shifts reminded me:

Progress isn’t always about doing more, it’s about supporting my body in the ways it actually needs.

I know it’s so easy to think “I’ll rest or move differently when life slows down” - but here’s the truth:

Waiting never works.

It’s the everyday habits like gratitude, mindful movement, and unapologetic rest that actually get your energy and metabolism to respond again.

I left for my last vacation 25 pounds heavier, tired and uncomfortable in my body.

I overthought every bite of food + swung between restricting and overindulging.

But this time? Everything was different.

I actually felt light, energized, and confident.

The difference? 10+ years ago, I stopped fighting my body & started working with it.

I optimized my hormones + minerals. I kept inflammation low, so my body could finally work FOR me.

And I realized something huge…

It was never about the number on the scale. Not about being “skinny” or fitting into a size 2.

It was about the FEELING.

Waking up energized. Eating without guilt. Wearing clothes that make you feel good in your skin.

Living life without constantly thinking about your body.

That’s what changes everything.

But here’s the thing - it wasn’t just about food or exercise. The deeper work mattered just as much.

Was it hard to get here? YES. At first.

I had to take a hard look at my limiting beliefs, habits, and patterns.

Most people stay stuck - not because they want to, but because staying the same feels easier at the time.

When did we start believing our bodies were broken?

The diet industry has convinced women like us that the only way to feel GOOD is through more math …

counting calories, macros, and points…

or by pushing your body to the brink with endless exercise.

It’s no wonder so many of us feel defeated, exhausted, and stuck.

But let me tell you something that most ‘experts’ won’t:

Your body isn’t the issue.

In fact, your body is full of wisdom - it’s been trying to communicate with you all along.

The problem is, no one ever taught you how to listen.

Instead, you’ve been told to ignore hunger, override cravings, and suppress your natural instincts to fit into a system that wasn’t designed for you.

This is especially true in perimenopause.

Hormonal shifts change the game, and you need a different approach.

Your body doesn’t need fixing, punishing, or meds to force it into ‘submission’.
