Happy Wednesday Friends!😁

Quick Question! Are you like me, and just love getting lost in a good book? 📚 It's, definitely, one of the most enjoyable ways to spend our free time...cozying up on the couch with a soft afghan, a warm coffee or tea and our favourite page turner:) *this gal is currently re-reading Anne Rice's The Witching Hour* 🌕

But how do your eyes feel about it?

Reading for long periods, like any other prolonged activity, can cause eye strain and dryness since we tend to blink less often while reading.

Don't let this deter you from spending a day with a relaxing read! Just remember to take a few breaks here and there:) And be sure you're wearing the right glasses for you. 👓

It's another Fun Fact Day!👀

This Tuesday we've got a lense crash course for you!

Typically, there are 3 types that could be prescribed to you by your optometrist.

First, there's single vision lenses. These are the most commonly prescribed, and work best for those who are slightly near or far sighted or just need help with reading. 📚
Second, we have bifocals. These help you see up close and at a distance, but generally, are prescribed to those who see fine at an immediate distance.
Lastly, there's progressives! These are, often, a stronger prescription, for those who have trouble seeing multiple distances and need help reading as well! 🥸

We know that's a lot of info to cram into a Fun Fact Day, but we thinks it pays to be knowledgeable. 🧠😊

Did you know that the amount of melanin in your eyes is the reason for your eye colour?

The more melanin that you have in your iris, the darker your eyes will be. This is because melanin is a dark brown pigment.👁

Blue eyes contain far less melanin than dark eyes, which allows a blue substance called collagen to show through. 💙
