Some amazing ways to get involved in our community this Earth Week 🌍
It’s Earth Week and the Municipslity has helped coordinate plenty of events and activities to encourage you celebrate, learn and care for our natural spaces!
SUN APRIL 19TH: Shoreline Clean-Up with Kincardine Environmental Action Network
2 - 3pm
Join KEAN at Station Beach for a community clean up. Buckets, grabbers, and gloves will be available.
MON APRIL 20 - SUN APRIL 26TH: Borrow a Clean Kit
Looking to clean up your neighbourhood or a favourite spot in the community with your family or a group? Call 519-396-3491 to borrow a Clean Kit, with pick up and drop off at the Davidson Centre. Clean up kits include buckets, gloves, pickers, garbage bags and a garbage drop off map.
WED. APRIL 22ND: Earth Day Movie Night
6pm
Head to the Davidson Centre to enjoy popcorn and a family-friendly Earth Day film - the Extraordinary Caterpillar.
WED APRIL 22ND: Earth Day Seedling Swap with KEAN
7pm
Bring your seedlings and swap with others at the Davidson Centre (Penetangore Room). Register by emailing kincardineean@gmail.com
FRI APRIL 24TH - MON APRIL 27TH: City Nature Challenge with Huron Bruce Nature
Join a global movement and document local wildlife and plants using the iNaturalist app.

SAT APRIL 25TH: Wildflower Walk with Huron Bruce Nature
2 - 4pm
Join a guided walk at Stoney Island Conservation Area and explore local wildflowers and natural spaces. Meet in the parking lot. Participants should wear sturdy footwear and dress appropriately for weather conditions.
SUN APRIL 26TH: Birding Walk with Huron Bruce Nature
9 - 11am
Discover local bird species at the Kincardine Lagoons with a guided group walk. Meet near the parking area of the Bruce Ave. soccer fields/dog park. Dress appropriately and bring binoculars.
SUN APRIL 26TH: Tree Planting with Saugeen Habitat Collective, sponsored by OPG
10am
Help plant cedars, pines, oaks, maples, sycamores and tulip trees beside KinDog off-leash park on Bruce Ave. Bring a shovel and wear sturdy footwear and gloves. Free lunch available.
