The staff at the Centre for Abuse and Trauma Therapy were profoundly disturbed upon learning of the tragic murder of a 25-year-old woman in our community, who was killed by her partner on May 16th.

This act of Femicide emphasizes the imperative need to address Intimate Partner Violence and the underlying factors that have led our city to declare IPV an epidemic.

The Centre for Abuse and Trauma Therapy extends its sincerest condolences to the victim's family, friends and all those affected by this tragedy.
