A heartfelt thank you to the Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and community members with disabilities who shared their stories with us through interviews with Indigenous Disability Canada.

These conversations highlight lived experiences, challenges, and strengths — helping to raise awareness and honour Indigenous voices in disability advocacy.

Warm greetings. I am coordinating a special project in partnership with Indigenous Disability Canada to honor the wisdom and experiences of Indigenous peoples.

We are/have invited three Elders/Knowledge Keepers as well as three community members who live with disabilities. On June 24th, June 25th we are recording short, empowering interviews in our community.

The goal is to: highlight lived experience, celebrate interviewee's strength and resilience and raise awareness in a way that uplifts others.

The interview will be: a casual, friendly conversation recorded at a time that works for the interviewee. The video/interview will be shared online to inspire others and build understanding. There is an honorarium for each interviewee.

As spring fills the air and Easter arrives, we wanted to send a heartfelt message from all of us here at Wik-Cihpolakon Bilijk Senior Care. Though many of us will be celebrating from a distance, please know that your love and presence are deeply felt.

This season reminds us that even after the longest, and coldest winters, warmth and renewal return. We find hope in blooming flowers, in laughter around the table, and in cherished memories that connect us, no matter the miles between us.

Good Evening,

We have sponsors for our ladies in the facility. We still are looking for sponsors for our gentlemen. We have a 97 year old, an 89 year old, a 75 year old and a 55 year old.

We do not have our tree up yet but soon. We are slow in moving, but we all move with purpose and intent.......

We had footcare today, haircuts tomorrow and I currently am working on getting "Christmas Nails" for the ladies......
