đŚWE ARE MOVING! đŚ
CBK is going through our next evolution! As we step away from our standalone teaching space, weâre leaning into something even bigger; stronger partnerships within the KAPS community.
By offering our classes within community-based practices, weâre creating a bridge between education and real-life support. Families won't just hear about what support is available, they will experience it firsthand in the actual spaces designed to care for them. It opens the door to building meaningful connections with trusted providers and helps families feel more comfortable accessing support when they need it.
As we work toward a more connected perinatal community, inviting families directly into these spaces feels like the most natural and impactful way to do it!
Starting NOW, enjoy 20% off any March Childbirth or Postpartum Series at CBK. Whether youâre preparing for labour or getting ready for those early postpartum weeks, this is your chance to invest in your confidence, knowledge, and support system!

Why Take a Birth Class?
Birth is a big dealâand you donât have to go in unprepared. A CBK Birth class gives you the knowledge, tools, and confidence to face labour, birth, and postpartum with clarity and calm.
You'll learn how birth works (yes, your body is amazing!), what your options are, and how to make informed decisions along the way. Youâll explore comfort techniques, medical interventions, and how your support person can be truly helpfulânot just present.
Itâs not about scripting your birthâitâs about building understanding and flexibility so you can feel more in control, no matter how things unfold.
Birth doesnât have to be scary. With the right preparation, it can be powerful! đŞ

Since 1970, Childbirth Kingston has been an independent organization in the Kingston community, promoting and supporting informed decision making through our Prepared Childbirth classes. Childbirth Kingston now operates alongside the Doula Support Foundation, and together we stand committed to recognizing the birthing person as the center of the birth experience, and respect that each family is unique in their needs, choices, and experiences. Our classes promote a full range of childbirth options, responsive to the needs of the community.
Our courses are intended to prepare you mentally, emotionally, and physically for a healthy and positive birth experience. This is not a ânatural childbirthâ course, we do not suggest that you could have a painless labor. Instead, we aim to provide you with many tools for working and coping with your labour so that you will feel that you were actively participating in the birth of your baby. We encourage you to communicate with your caregivers and fully understand your options.
Our classes have been designed for birthing people and their birth partners, and want to warmly welcome those of you who are supporting someone preparing to give birth. Providing emotional and physical support to a birthing person holds exceptional reward and responsibility.
Our philosophy encourages parents to make informed choices by understanding risks and benefits and considering alternatives, as well as developing an appreciation of what is right for themselves in terms of care and support. We encourage you to take responsibility for making your own decisions. Although the educators and Doulas work closely and collaborate with Kington Health Sciences Center and the Kingston Community Midwives, Childbirth Kingston is an independent source of information.
We would love to have the opportunity to accompany you on your journeyđ
