Scenes from a few online training sessions this past week 🤙🏻. I love that I get to help people from all over the country (and world) resolve their injuries/pain, get stronger, and live a more vibrant/illuminated life.
All of my clients have different backgrounds, health/injury histories, fitness levels, life stressors and more. Some are new moms, a few are approaching retirement, others are career driven CEO’s and office workers - ALL of them are busy and need a fitness/health program that works for them and fits into their life.
This is where I can help. I design them HIGHLY personalized programs that address their needs and get them to where they want to be physically/mentally.
I do this through a minimalist approach to fitness and movement, a training style that requires very little equipment, time, or space - yet it yields outstanding results.

Working out really hard is great , provided you are recovering effectively from your training sessions. If you’re not recovering well, hard training may be contributing to physical and emotional pain and discomfort.

Training implies that you’re getting better. In all cases, I want my clients getting better in terms of their health, movement, mindset, and vitality. Somedays we can train hard and other days (like today for this online client) we need to take a step back and “work in”.
Working out = energy depleting/catabolic/ ⬆️stress on the body.
Working in = energy building/anabolic/⬇️stress on the body.
We need enough energy reserve to train hard. We need to be able to recover well in order to reap the benefits of hard training.
If we’re over stressed (mentally/physically) we wont be able to recover and benefit as much from a difficult training session - that’s where “working in” would be a wise decision.
Today we worked on stretching, mobility, stability, and meditation. Simple, effective, and by the end he felt more vital … more illuminated … more like the “liquid space crystal filled with the consciousness of the entire universe” that he really is 💀📿🤙🏻🔮.

Here’s a small peek (from the other day) at some work my online client put into building her foundation of movement, stability, and mobility 🔮.
We used to work together in person a few years ago, while I was still living in the Toronto area. BUT it’s been a while since then AND bodies change … especially when someone has gone through pregnancy 👶🏻.
If you want to move, feel, and look your best you need to know what your body can and can’t do well at the moment - and you need to work on those areas where you’re struggling. We need to catch those areas up first, methodically and safely, before we can begin to challenge the body with more intense strength or even power training ☯️.
If you skip laying the foundation of mobility, flexibility, stability, and movement - you’re asking for trouble, pain, or potentially injury 😓.

This past week I was very lucky to work with a handful of new, and returning, online clients. Which means, a whole lot of assessment was going on🤓.
No 2 bodies are the same. They all have different genetics, physical structures, injury histories, life experiences, ways of coping with stress (physical and psychological) and more.
That’s why I make sure to assess each person thoroughly, taking them through a detailed investigation into their movement, stability, gait (walking), mobility/flexibility, emotional/psychological stress, nutrition … and more ☯️.
It’s this holistic and in-depth assessment that allows me to not guess, but to KNOW what they need to feel, move, look, and think their best - illuminating their human potential 🔮.

I met Tim when he began teaching fitness & movement classes for “Breast Cancer Action Kingston”, a charity organization that helps support breast cancer survivors and those battling breast cancer. When I went to the 1st class I was a bit worried due to my health history and chronic pain - but by the end of the session I was ecstatic! I knew I had finally found someone who could help me with my lower back pain.  
Originally, I thought I had sciatica but it wasn’t that at all, it turns out I just needed to strengthen my core and glutes, improve my movement, and loose a little weight. Tim taught me how to do all of that, using only a chair, yoga blocks, a yoga strap, and a stretchy band. Under Tim’s direction my chronic back pain (of over 45+ years) improved in no time at all. Between taking the two classes he teaches each week, and some daily mini workouts he designed for me at home, my pain is almost gone. It’s Unbelievable!  
Balance has always been an issue for me, my gait has always been wobbly , and my legs pidgin toed, as a result of to the polio I had as a child. This, along with a hip replacement, made getting up and down from the floor or rising from a chair quite hard. Tim has helped me with this as well, teaching me how to rise from the floor, and how to move from sitting to standing in a way that requires less effort.
My results are amazing after only a few weeks of training sessions. I can rise from a chair with ease, sleep through the night pain free (on both sides) and finally I don’t gasp in pain when trying to make meals (not bent over in extreme pain and crying).
I am 75 years old and recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes (September 2021.) At that time, I weighed 170 lbs. I set a goal of 145 lbs and as of today, December 27th, I weigh 153 lbs and feel great.
For many years as a child, after my polio, my parents took me for Chiropractic treatments. As an adult I did physiotherapy therapy, massage, other exercise regimens, and methods for overcoming chronic pain … but Tim was the one who changed my life!

The other day my online client and I worked on developing a daily routine for him to follow, one that will help reduce micro movements/tiny shifts in his spine that are contributing to his bouts of back pain.
I designed a very simple, effective, and compact routine designed to help his spine feel it’s best so he can do what he loves (living an active social life and lots of walks/hikes) with less pain and discomfort 🤙🏻
The goal with everyone I work with is to help them get out of pain, improve their movement, and make them stronger (mentally and physically). I do this through highly specific individualized holistic personal training programs. My online client working on moving like a mystic ninja! In this case, he’s working on some very controlled, super slow, squats. For many people with joint issues, injuries, pain, or just some mileage on their body - super slow training can be a highly effective and safe way to train. Not only does it allow us to reduce the stress on the joints of the body, but it enhances body awareness, stability, and smokes the muscles for a very intense training session.

Almost two years ago, Margaret worked with me through a few online sessions. She was dealing with some aches and pains in her shoulder, knee, and back. In around 2 sessions we had that sorted out, she was happy and pain free! Until the other day when she messaged me, asking if I could help her because her sciatica was acting up again.
I had Margaret visit me where I’m seeing my in person clients, and we went through an in depth/detailed assessment. Today, we discovered what her pain mechanisms, we know what movements are triggering her pain. We found which joints aren’t moving as well as they should, and we looked at how her body moves/flows while walking/running using the AiM thought process (a system of movement and a thought process taught to me by )
From all of that information I’ll be designing a program based on what we found today in Margaret’s assessment. One that will help get her out of pain, so that we can move forward and make her stronger and even better than she was before.
At the end of our assessment I had some time left over, so I took Margaret through some very specific movements, based on what her body was telling me it needed to experience. And the result WAS BAD ASS 🙌🏻!
In her own words “the sciatic thing was completely gone!”. She couldn’t believe it, I was pretty stoked too. It was even gone when she bent down to pick up her bag.
I’m very happy Margaret chose me to work with again, and I can’t wait to keep working together to make her stronger and to help her move, look, and feel her best - like a damn space panther
