Led by mental health specialists, we facilitate certification courses & workshops to empower & inform workplaces & community members to learn the skills & tools needed to come together to become high functioning teams & connected people. We believe that mental wellbeing can be supported and stigma can be cured. We also believe that mental health is as important as physical health, where the brain and body impact each other. At LCMH, we bring like-minded, qualified and caring mental health and organizational professionals and specialists together to collaborate and assist individuals, groups and organizations to increase mental health literacy, and to create supportive, informed and effective environments. We offer educational sessions, presentations and consulting services in the areas of Psychological Safety in the Workplace and Post-Secondary institutions, and in Mental Health. We facilitate virtual certification courses in Mental Health and Trauma-Informed practice for the Mental Health Commission of Canada, Workplace Safety & Prevention Services & the Community Resilience Initiative. We aim to empower people with the skills and strategies to feel effective, resilient and confident to help themselves and others. We also help organizations establish high functioning teams to improve morale, productivity and profitability, through the development and strengthening of Psychological Safety in the Workplace and in Post-Secondary institutions. We look forward to working with you to achieve your mental health and psychological safety goals.

Canada spends 6.3% of their health-care budgets on mental health, less than half of what some other G7 countries spend, and far below what is required to address the mental health crisis in Canada. Our "universal" health system is far from universal when it comes to mental health. We need to change this. Investment in our mental health is a basic human right. Write your MPP and MP.

In a recent survey, 65% of nurses reported high stress & burnout due to short staffing, inequitable pay, lack of leadership support, & abuse. Patient care is negatively affected. We are looking at the 35% & can help you see the difference, too. Contact Debra Lefebvre debra@limestonecitymentalhealth.ca.

It was our pleasure to address the all staff and leadership event with the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development. We shared research and knowledge that trauma-informed leaders and staff THRIVE in psychologically healthy and safe workplace environments. Evidence has shown a new way forward. It is not just up to people to be resilient; organizational culture and infrastructure support a person to Thrive. It's a systems approach and evolving social science Jennifer Waite Debra Lefebvre

We know that use of social media by youth is nearly universal. Despite this widespread use, robust research is lacking to help fully understand the impact of social media on children and adolescents. Is it safe or harmful to their mental health? Does it have an impact on substance use? I hope you will join us to discuss the complex relationship between technology, mental health and substances. I am looking forward to being panelist. A few seats are left & it’s free to attend with thanks to generous sponsorship.
