The Right Move Physiotherapy is extremely happy to welcome Emma Vaillancourt to our team of clinicians!Emma completed her undergraduate degree in Health Promotion from Laurentian University and her Masters in Physical Therapy from Western University Canada. She has a keen interest in the assessment and treatment of running related injuries and has taken extensive post-graduate training to properly serve this population. Emma has also taken post-graduate courses in manual therapy and is certified in dry needling. She combines hands-on techniques with education and an active rehab program to help get you back to life and sport.

*Team Member Profile* Lauren Barker finished her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Queen’s University and is currently a practicing Kinesiologist. Post-graduate completion of the CSCS (certified strength and conditioning specialist) by the NSCA has given her a deeper understanding of movement systems as well as the knowledge required to prescribe and refine exercise programs. Lauren emphasizes that understanding the body is one of the most important factors for injury prevention and maintaining independence. Bringing a positive and passionate attitude to each interaction helps to motivate her patients towards efficiency in work, sport, and daily life.

Lauren was born in Chicago and completed the International Baccalaureate in Surrey, UK. She then moved to Canada to enroll in Queen’s University and has since made Kingston her home. When she is not greeting people at the front desk or working with patients in the gym, you can find Lauren reading at the local library, staying active with running, or travelling around the world with friends and family. Being an enthusiastic individual, she provides a safe and supportive environment to learn and grow through exercise.
