Today, August 28th, is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, a day for humans to honour and remember beloved pets who have sadly passed away. 💔🕊️

The concept of the "Rainbow Bridge" is a metaphor for the afterlife, where pets are said to be reunited with their human owners.

Just a note that I'm currently on vacation until September 8 ⛱️🌊☀️

I'll be posting here and there and sharing with you some of adventures I'm on, books I'm reading and thoughts I'm having.

I will be periodically checking emails and dm's during this time and responding when I can.

I am once again learning how to ground myself in the present moment and trying to release any limitations and expectations around my tendency to worry incessantly about being available to others 24-7.

I know many of you can relate to that!

In a Facebook memory that showed up today in my feed, I saw a post I had made on this day in 2016. It was in regard to a friend of a friend who had suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. It struck a chord with me once again and filled me with inspiration to embrace the present moment.

I wrote :

"A few friends of mine have posted that they've lost a friend of theirs earlier today. I've never met this person but she has been on my mind all day. To have been living life to the fullest a few days ago to passing away unexpectedly today. It just really drives home how important it is to really LIVE. Eat the cake. Run in the rain. Jump in puddles. Swim in the ocean. Laugh, laugh, laugh. Forgive. Say what's in your heart. Compliment others and learn to accept compliments back. Be silly. Be weird. Just do you. Life is too short for anything less."
