This ๐…๐ซ๐ข๐๐š๐ฒ, ๐€๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ฅ ๐Ÿ‘๐ซ๐ ( ) is the ๐Ÿ–๐ญ๐ก ๐€๐ง๐ง๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐œ๐ค ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ ๐ƒ๐ซ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž at Canadian Blood Services (850 Gardiners Rd, Kingston, ON). ๐Ÿ‘

Brock has been a recipient of countless blood donations over the years, specifically platelets, as he and his mother both have ๐•๐จ๐ง ๐–๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐›๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฌ๐ž๐š๐ฌ๐ž (VWD). VWD is the most common inherited bleeding disorder, affecting roughly 1% of the population. It is caused by a deficiency or dysfunction of the von Willebrand factor (vWF) protein, which prevents blood from clotting properly.

These frequent visits over the years inspired Brock to give back and encourage others to take an hour out of their day to help save lives.

โ€œThis year, the blood drive has an added special cause - my mom, Kelly, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer late last year, and she also has the same blood disorder as I do. She received the same lifesaving blood products as I did during my treatment and was by my side the whole time I went through my cancer journey, and I want to help pay it forward in her name as she goes through her own battle." ๐Ÿ’ฌ
