Introducing Team Tuesdays! A new series where we will be introducing you to all of our amazing team members.

This week, we are so excited to introduce you to Chris, one of our Occupational Therapists and the original founder of Make Way For Me! Swipe ➡ to read more about Chris and her journey!

Chris received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queens University in 1983 and her Masters in Aging and Health from Queens University in 2016. With over 40 years of experience practicing as an Occupational Therapist in pediatrics, Chris has a lifelong passion for providing therapy and supporting children of all ages.

When she’s not at the clinic, Chris can be found playing with her daughter Briar, spending time with her grandchildren, singing, being outdoors, and recently, silversmithing!

Although Chris has moved into a new chapter of her life, and is so excited about the changes happening at Make Way For Me, she will continue as an Occupational Therapist, seeing clients and offering support and mentorship to our OT team. If you see Chris around the clinic, feel free to give her a warm hello!

A big thank you to Chris, for everything she has done for us and the community! We could not be more grateful, and we are so blessed to have her as part of our team 💜

We have some exciting news to share! 🥳

We are part of an exciting new initiative to support children in the Ontario Autism Program as they transition to school!

The Entry to School Program is a six-month, small group, skill-building program focused on helping children develop school-readiness in six areas. The program is a true multi-disciplinary collaboration with Speech-Language, Behaviour Therapy and Occupational Therapy. Upon graduating from the program, children and families will continue to have access to consultative supports through the first six months of school.

Working in collaboration with ACT Learning Centre , Stride Academy and Big Words Little People - Speech-Language Pathology and Literacy Consulting.

Stay tuned for more information!
