Sometimes, it feels necessary to unplug from all the bells, whistles and buzzwords of wellness....
...to remember the root of why we’re working in this field:
1. to heal ourselves, selfishly.
I don’t know of a single wellness educator who didn’t start their journey with themselves; intentional or not, personal healing comes with a practice.
We are not masters, gurus, or perfect beings gifted with knowledge to share...we are messy, learning, and also in need of compassion and support.
🖤🖤🖤
2. to help others, selflessly.
If something we do helps us, it’s guaranteed we will want to share that thing to help others.
I hope I can speak for all wellness educators when I say:
creating a place for people to find what they need is the greatest importance.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a powerlifting coach, a psychotherapist, a nutritionist, or a yoga teacher....
...if you support the exploration of oneself, you contribute to wellness.
🖤🖤🖤
That’s what we are about....
We are here to support a culture that prioritizes wellness, no matter the form.
Whether it’s
🖤playing with nerf artillery or laying in the snow and watching clouds (Ash & Ann)
🖤singing in the car or kicking a soccer ball against a wall
🖤hitting the yoga mat or hitting the heavy bag
🖤meditating to nature sounds or pumping iron to heavy metal
WE ARE HERE FOR IT
What forms do your wellness practices take??
(hint- there’s no wrong answer)
