The first time I ever had Acupuncture, I didn’t even know it was going to happen.
Fast forward a few minutes and I was lying on a treatment table thinking: “Wow… this feels incredible.”
Not scary. Not painful. Just calming, grounding, and strangely familiar, like my body recognized something before my mind did.
Now, after more than 10 years as an Acupuncturist, one of my favourite things is treating people who are trying Acupuncture for the very first time. Almost everyone walks in with the same questions:
“Does it hurt?”
“What does it actually feel like?”
“What if I’m nervous about needles?”
And honestly? Those fears are so normal.
In our newest blog post, we break down exactly what Acupuncture feels like — both during the treatment and after the needles are in; from the tiny sensations you might notice, to the deeply restorative “acu-nap” state so many people experience.
Acupuncture isn’t about forcing the body to heal. It’s about creating the conditions for your body to return to balance, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect with its innate healing capacity ✨
If you’ve been Acupuncture-curious, this blog post is for you.
