We would like to extend our sincerest ‘thank you’ to everyone who donated and supported this year’s UFIT Row Off for The National Gaucher Foundation of Canada.

The Frontenac Chiro team raised a massive total of $5,075, contributing to the event total of $9,500! We are truly grateful to everyone who encouraged us and showed their support.

The day was full of energy, competition, cheering and love, as our community came together to raise money for such a special cause close to our hearts.

Additionally, thank you to all the rowers who participated, the generous donations from Kingston’s local businesses, and to the UFIT staff for the time and effort put in to running the event.

Lastly, a special thank you to our biggest inspiration, Ryan!

Rare Disease Day 💜 & Call for Fundraising 🗣️

In light of Rare Disease Day on February 28th, we are announcing an exciting new fundraising partnership with UFIT Kingston!

As many of you know, our owners here at Frontenac Chiropractic, Cam & Mal, have the most amazing and resilient 3 year old daughter with a rare genetic condition known as Gaucher Disease. February 28th is Rare Disease Day, and today we are so excited to share that our friends at UFIT Kingston have decided to utilize their annual fundraising event, Battle of the Gyms Row Off, to raise money for the National Gaucher Foundation of Canada.

We will be fundraising at the clinic for this event from now until the end of April, and will be participating in the Row Off on April 26th. The members of our 4-person team will include Mallory Kohlmeier, Cameron Read, Amanda Bertrand and Harry Hughes.

If any of you are willing and able to donate, we will be accepting donations at the clinic by cash, card or e-transfer to frontenacchiropractic@gmail.com. 100% of the funds received will be donated to the National Gaucher Foundation of Canada.

We are sincerely grateful for your contribution to this cause that is so close to our hearts!

“From an early age, I had always been interested in anatomy and human movement, as well as exercise for the benefit of physical and mental health.

From there, my journey started at St. Lawrence College in the Fitness and Health Promotion program. I then proceeded to teach a variety of fitness and group training classes including Pilates and Strength and Conditioning, and gained further experience with personal training in various clinical settings.

Over the years I continued to pursue interests in a variety of movement disciplines from resistance training, obstacle courses, aerial skills and dance.

My passions in that field ultimately led me to pursue a massage therapy diploma at Trillium College, graduating in 2017. Since graduation, I have been fortunate to work in a variety of clinical settings including athletic therapy centres as well as multidisciplinary clinics working alongside physiotherapists and athletic therapists.

I enjoy teaching and educating patients about the benefits of movement, therapeutic exercise, and overall wellness, and I strive to bring this into my treatments and group classes alike.”
