Two years—can you believe it?! What started as a simple coffee shop chat turned into something so much more. Sarah joined us after a casual networking meet-up and ended up pursuing her dreams right alongside ours—becoming a key part of the Wellness Within vision. ☕
Since then, she’s brought her signature Rebel energy to everything she does (yes, we’re talking Gretchen Rubin’s Four Tendencies kind of Rebel—the one who resists both inner and outer expectations and chooses her own way forward). She even initially resisted that she was a rebel.
Sarah is always open to change, innovation, and the next new adventure. From stacking up trainings and certifications to trying out AI-assisted note-taking in sessions, she’s constantly evolving and always asking, “How can I show up better—for myself and for others?”
But she’s more than a trailblazer—Sarah’s also the quiet pulse of care in our group. She’s the one who checks in, leaves thoughtful messages, and creates moments of connection that linger long after the session ends. Her clients feel it. Our team feels it. And we’re all better for it.
Sarah is currently welcoming new clients who are ready to explore change in a grounded, creative, and honest way. Many moments as a kid were spent gazing up at the most incredible canvas of forever changing art, thinking about my future and what adventures I was to experience on my path. It was among these amazing moments beneath the African Skies, where I was born and raised dreaming of doing what I love and loving what I do that the seed was planted to pursue being within the industry of creativity, dance, beauty and essentially a spa environment.
Captivated by the glittering costumes, beautiful up do’s and make-up, while dancing competitively, during my childhood, is where I discovered my passion for estethics. My entrance position into the job market as a teenager was exciting as I scored a job with a mother-daughter hairstylist team, in our local community and I loved it!
New exciting adventures took flight upon the completion of high school. My parents gifted a graduation gift of an airline ticket with an opportunity to travel to Canada, to learn life skills and attend John Casablanca Modelling, Personal Development & Career Centre. In the heart of downtown Toronto, buzzing with energy and soul is where I received my education and certification in Make-up Artistry.
Grateful, proud and blessed for the opportunities learned and earned along my path working with a bouquet of personalities and industries, from hair, cosmetics, skin care, travel and serving, to administration. It fills me with pride and gratitude, to have contributed in togetherness by bringing hope, comfort, safety, love to children and families in the Kingston and surrounding areas during my administrative role in Adoption and Children’s Services, prior to EssentiallyU Spa. My most accomplished role and responsibility, that’s offered daily undertakings of unpredictability and enjoyment is the blessed gift of being a parent, thankful for the privilege in raising two amazing sons.
Growing in a new direction, overcoming a period of darkness and adversities, pausing in stillness to find the answers from within, I realized that our challenges are what make us stronger. This, reinforced my tenacity to stand steadfast in my abilities to rise above life challenges and invest in achieving balance by reconnecting with my soul’s intentions. I am thrilled to have embarked on a new journey of learning, adding new skills and accomplishments to my treasure chest of life through receiving training and certification in Nail Treatments, Lash Artistry, AromaTouch Massage Techniques. Stretching into this new season of growth and development provided me with the opportunity to fulfill another one of my dreams. Essentials of the Earth was founded, created and I began practicing @EssentiallyU Spa; a unique space for one and one for all whether you’re young, old or somewhere in between.
Everyday, I’m grateful and excited to embrace this amazing opportunity to form connections and provide services of relaxation and natural beauty enhancements to make your days and moments as equally meaningful and enjoyable as my own!
