Kingston Chiropractic and Rehabilitation

Kingston Chiropractic and Rehabilitation By always putting the client's needs first our aim is to improve and optimize health through chiropr This is done through exercises and adjustments.

Practitioner:
Dr Michael Korczynski BHSc(hons), BSc(hons), M.Chiro, DC

Philosophy:
The chiropractic sciences focus on the neuromusculoskeletal system; the brain and nervous system, the muscles, and the joints. This means that the body is viewed holistically as well as structurally and biomechanically. That is to say that an issue with one area of the body might be making the body compensate another area and causing pain and dysfunction. The concept of chiropractic is to attempt to remove and reprogram dysfunctional / faulty patterns through both neuroplasticity and motor reprogramming to re-educate and re-define how daily functioning occurs. Chiropractic encompases many different techniques and is always tailored to each individual client. This means that each client's case is unique and requires varied approaches. At Kingston Chiropractic and Rehabilitation, we emphasis chiropractic techniques that are both comfortable and effective. Chiropractic is a safe and cost effective approach to healthcare. Chiropractic is not about "cracking" and "popping", although for some individuals this is done via adjustments. It is important to know that since each case is distinct as the person experiencing so are the treatments and methods utilized. There are many low force techniques that are non-invasive and gentle to the touch. The field of chiropractic sciences has proven through evidence based research to be the most effective approach for correction of lowerback pain, neck pain, and headaches among other conditions.

Dr. Moore announced changes to COVID-19 protocols yesterday afternoon. The article from Global News (linked below) is the most clear and concise timeline that I could find. Some of these changes will affect our clinic immediately while others will not change until the end of April.

We thank you for your ongoing support and ask that regardless of how one might feel that you please continue to comply with Ontario's health measures when in the clinic. Here are the two main points that will effect your appointments and clinical protocols:

March 21st - Masks will STILL be required in long-term care homes, retirement homes, health-care settings, jails, shelters, congregate living settings and on public transit.

April 27th - Masks will NO longer be required in long-term care homes, retirement homes, health-care settings, jails, shelters, congregate living settings and on public transit.

Ontario has laid out its plans to lift remaining COVID-19 public health measures, including mandatory masks and workplace vaccination policies, by the end of April.

Congrats Kingston / Ontario on entering Phase 1 of reopening. Let us keep this momentum going by following the reopening guidelines set by the KFL&A and the Roadmap for Reopening. Here are a few things that are open this week and in the coming weeks in Kingston. Please remember to social distance and be patient as many stores and services are doing their best to accommodate their patrons. Anxiety is high so please give others the benefit of the doubt and remember to always use your “P’s and T’s” (Please and Thanks). Stay healthy and stay safe.

We are Open!

With the new provincial lockdown / slow down measures we are remaining open for business as we are classified as Essential Services.

As regulated health professionals, chiropractors, may continue to operate during the stay-at-home time period in Ontario in accordance with page 27 of the updated Ontario shutdown rules, dated January 12, 2021 and Ontario Regulation 654/20 Section 53, consistent with current guidance for regulated health professionals. There is no change to the scope of care chiropractors are permitted to provide resulting from the Government’s announcement.
We ask that all clients come only at their appointment time, do not come early - the waiting room is close. Please wait to be called into the office. We are having a one-in-and-one out policy to ensure ZERO crossover of clients.

We thank you for your continued support of our local business. We are here to continue to serve you to help maintain your health.

Thank you,
Dr. Michael Korczynski (DC)
