The early days of postpartum can feel like the wild west, and you're really just trying to survive and make yourself more comfortable while juggling all the newborn things!

Do all the things to keep yourself as comfortable as possible. The more comfortable you are and relaxed you can feel, the faster your healing will be and less tense your body will be!

What was your postpartum must-have?! 💬👇🏼

Let's just say, there's fewer feelings that are as good than imaging proving you right 💁🏼‍♀️

There's a reason we have as much training in orthopedic assessments as we do. If we test correctly, we can more often than not give you a very accurate identification of the tissue that's injured (or not injured) and the severity of it!

I feel like we all need a bit of a kick in the butt sometimes. It's the harsh truth, but it's the truth.

We're climbing out of our winter burrows, and what better time to start being a little more active!?

We've gotta stop being lazy and put the work in. Laziness is why supplements (ex. GLPs when they aren't actually needed) and passive treatments (ex. Massage, muscle stim, ultrasound, etc) are so popular, I'm sorry to say it. These things all have their place, but so many of us would rather take a pill or have someone else work on us than to do the work ourselves.

Let's put the excuses aside and figure out how to make it work with our lifestyle instead!

* To be clear - his is not to bash massage therapists in any perspective, just to point out that most offer a passive treatment (many other practitioners can fit this category as well) which is absolutely beneficial in specific circumstances, but it's most often a temporary fix, and not addressing the strength or mechanical issue. Passive treatment should be used alongside some time of active treatment or movement.*

Truthfully, there is just so much more to it than what I've shared here, but these are the basics!

This series is not meant to take the place of a post natal or pelvic health professional, rather to give you guidance if you're navigating this process on your own and aren't sure if you're doing things correctly. If at any moment you notice something doesn't feel right, or you're having trouble with something (for example, relaxing your pelvic floor), it's important you book in with a professional so you can receive an individualized program and guidance.

I can tell ya right now if someone would have done this to me and I found out about it, I'd never have gone again.

Just have some consideration for the people around you plz.

We've all done the potty dance one time or another, but are our habits the cause?

It sucks to feel like you have to p*e a million times at night or that you can't go anywhere for 20 minutes without needing to p*e. While this may seem like it's "just the way your body is", for most its actually an issue with your pelvic floor that needs to be addressed!

Are you guilty of any of these?? Trust me, you're not alone!!

I'm super excited for this series, and I hope you find it of value in some way!

Thinking of beginning exercising postpartum (this could be anytime postpartum)?? Make sure you're following me so you can see the rest of the series!

Any questions at all throughout, please leave them in the comments and I'll do my best to address them! 🥰

I can't help you with your mental health, management of household duties, sleep, or taking care of your child, but I can sure help your body recover and get you back to the activities you love 🥰

I'll forever be an advocate for supporting postpartum recovery!!

Is it lack of upper body strength? Is it lack of shoulder stability? Lol definitely both.

Heres to working toward our goals in 2026! What do you want to accomplish this year??🥂
