Before you can love yourself, you have to love being in the world. You have to love being in your body. You have to love those things first - then you can find love for yourself. So, if you are resisting the way, what it is to be in the world - then you'll never have the behavior that's necessary for you - to allow you, to find self love.

Sometimes the garden of our mind has become overgrown and unwieldly because we aren't being careful about what thoughts we tend to.
Sometimes we cultivate thoughts that don't serve our energy, thinking we have more influence over outcomes than we actually do, choosing to try to prevent outcomes for ourselves and others, not being ok with the natural progression we are meant to live.
Sometimes we don't even know what has been planted, and we need to take the time to look inward and sit with our thoughts and beliefs to sort through them and see if they are contributing to our highest alignment.
Sometimes we have difficulty accepting what it means to be ourselves, because we judge our life experience as good or bad, instead of being able to be fully present within it, no matter what is showing up.
Our thoughts aren't ours entirely. "Nothing new under the sun." We get to both realize that instead of having them, we experience the mechanic instead of receiving thought, and then participate in thought -- and we get to choose with which ones we participate.
When we can shift our awareness by understanding and embodying this mechanic, we can come to realize how powerful this position is in order to create shifts in our external world. By choosing the thoughts and beliefs we wish to engage in, our outer circumstances will begin to reflect experiences related to these thoughts and beliefs.
The choice is yours. Are you willing to embrace the uncertainty of what life can bring to you, when you begin to challenge thoughts and beliefs you no longer wish to participate in?
Are you willing to tidy the garden of your mind, and allow yourself to face both the state it is in, make decisions about what you allow to grow within it, and embrace the discoveries as you work through it?
