Student Spotlight goes to siblings COHEN & QUINN!

Can you believe they wrote this cute little duet?! With its silly staccato character, the duo named it “Stinky Toes” to give the audience an extra giggle! In all seriousness though, these two worked hard to make sure they stayed in time, balanced dynamics, and listened to one another!

WOW! We are just so proud of all our students who shared their musical gifts at Luther Manor and Village at University Gates these past two evenings! We loved meeting all the residents and hearing their stories of how music has brought them joy throughout their lives! We are so happy to be even just a small part of that story ❤️❤️❤️

Let’s welcome Winnie!!!

Winnie is the newest addition to our team, bringing an excitement towards elementary music education! Winnie is ready to begin taking new students come the New Year! Please see her bio below:

“Hi, my name is Winnie! I’m currently a student at Wilfrid Laurier University, studying International Education with the goal of becoming an elementary school teacher.

I’ve been playing piano since I was five years old. I took piano lessons for over 10 years, and completed my level 10 RCM. I have experience teaching piano to young beginners, and I love helping children discover their own creativity and confidence.

I believe that learning the piano should always be fun and enjoyable. I would love to help kids fall in love with music the same way I did learning to play the piano!”

Student Spotlight goes to LIAM!!!

Liam is completing his Grade 7 RCM exam this January! He has shown incredible dedication and talent! On top of being naturally musical, he also puts hard work into ensuring each song is played with expression, phrasing, and every little detail written!

Holleigh has been busy practicing for our upcoming recital and has been looking forward to sharing her music for a very long time! Holleigh is a bright student who soars through steps and skips in several different hand positions now! Keep up the great work, Holleigh!!

This Student Spotlight was worth the wait! Hooray for ILINA!

Ilina has been working very hard in preparing for our upcoming recital, and she plays Holly Jolly Christmas with such an excellent, cheerful character! Ilina is also preparing for her Prep B RCM Exam this June, and has made huge progress already since September! Keep it up, Ilina!

Lianne mastered this intro in just two days! What?!

This catchy intro is not as simple as it may sound! Filled with tied rhythms and sustained chords, it's a great learning accomplishment. Thanks for always being open to challenge, Lianne! :)

Thrilled to finally share the news of a new book release! Coming early December, Mahoro’s Music will be available to your little musicians! 🎹 🎶
