Doc…I’m seeing spots!

Design based on the Ishihara colour vision test:

✨ this test is one of the most common ways to check for color blindness. It uses plates filled with colorful dots that form hidden numbers or patterns—what you see (or don’t see!) can reveal how your eyes distinguish colors. 🌈🔍

Did you know? Babies love mirrors — and it’s more than just adorable! Watching their reflection helps little ones develop visual focus and self-awareness and is a sign of cognitive growth. The milestone of recognizing self can occur between the ages of 15-24 months. At your next pediatric eye exam, we’ll make sure those curious eyes are developing just right! 🪞👁️ Recommended routine Eye examinations start at 6months of age (and sooner if there are concerns).

I had the pleasure of another lovely visit from this sweet young lady💕 with whom I always look forward to sharing a few jokes. Lots of smiles today!

She liked my banana joke the best:
Why did the banana go to the doctor?
Because he wasn’t peeling well.

There are VARIOUS causes of red eyes other than bacterial “pink eye”.

Some even require urgent attention.

BEFORE YOU REACH for over-the-counter antibiotics (which
CAN BE MORE IRRITATING to the eye if you are allergic to the drops or if the problem wasn’t a bacterial infection), see your Optometrist to help find the best treatment.

Why are we wearing silly glasses?
Andrew made a pair of glasses to illustrate the difference between farsighted and nearsighted lens corrections. Zoom in and you’ll notice one of our eyes is magnified (farsighted/hyperopia) and one looks smaller (nearsighted/myopia).
