Every weekday, we serve lunch to seniors at the WMRC - Community Pavilion in uptown Waterloo. However, many seniors face challenges with getting to the program, whether due to mobility challenges, lack of public transit options or not having anyone nearby to give them a ride. Without transportation, they miss out on this important opportunity to connect with others.

If you or someone you know is available weekdays between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., please consider volunteering as a lunchtime driver! A little bit of time can make a big difference in someone's life!

P.S. If lunchtime doesn't fit your schedule, there are other ways to help! We're also looking for volunteer drivers at other times of the day to assist seniors with trips to the grocery store or medical appointments.

Please join us in welcoming Mayuri Patel to our admin team as our new Client Care Manager & Scheduler

Some of you may already know Mayuri—she’s been working as a PSW with Active Caregiving, and we’ve been so lucky to have her compassionate care and professionalism on the front lines.

Now, we’re thrilled to have her step into this new leadership role where she’ll be coordinating care and supporting our clients and families with incredible service and attention to detail.

Mayuri is a Registered Nurse with a diverse background in the hospital, home care, and healthcare administration. She brings a wealth of knowledge, and experience and we know she’s going to be an amazing support for our team and the families we serve.
