Full Journey Doula Services I'm here to support you no matter where you are in your journey! You’ll feel more confident in your abilities with consistent focused support by your side.

Whether in pre-conception, pregnancy, labour or postpartum, I’m here for you! What is a Doula? A doula is a person who provides emotional, physical and informational support to you and your family in one or all areas of your pregnancy, labour, postpartum and conception journey. Doulas are not medical professionals. They don't deliver babies or provide medical care. A certified doula has taken a tr

aining program/programs and passed an exam(s) on how to help pregnant women and their families during this exciting but challenging experience. What does a doula do? Labour doulas provide continuous care during labour. Postpartum doulas support the new mom during the first few weeks after birth. They help with infant care, feeding of the baby and household tasks. Fertility doulas support couples or single mothers through their journey of conception, whether you’re trying to conceive naturally or you’re going to a fertility clinic to discuss medical options, your fertility doula will be right there to help you. Doulas meet with you during your second or third trimester to get acquainted

• Teach you relaxation and breathing skills

• Teach you how to advocate for yourselves

• Answer your questions about the birthing process

• Help you understand labour and delivery procedures and possible complications

• Help you develop a birth plan

During labour, the doula will:

• Stay consistently by your side to provide comfort and support

• Use massage and touch to help you relax and rest

• Help you get into comfortable positions

• Help you get adequate nutrition and fluids

• Help you advocate for your preferences to the medical staff

• Involve and reassure the non-birthing parent

After delivery, a doula can:

• Provide support and encouragement to both you and your partner after bringing your baby home

• Teach both of you how to care for your new baby

• Assist with nursing/pumping/bottle feeding education

• Be a support to your partner and other siblings and teach them how to help you

• Make sure you get plenty of rest, eat regularly, stay hydrated, and are comfortable

I'm told everything bought at McDonald's today, proceeds go to the Ronald Mcdonald house. It's a good day to support those going through tough times. ♥️

That's where postpartum support comes in. Whether it's from family, friends, or professional providers, having a support system in place can make all the difference during this critical time. Postpartum support is an invaluable asset for the whole family.

I light a candle on the last day of Pregnancy and Infant awareness month.
I can't believe my little girl would 4.5 now.
Today is a reminder that "pain is pain". The motto I made for myself during my grieving period. It doesn't matter at what point you lost your pregnancy or how old your baby was. Pain IS pain. Your pain IS valid. I'll sit with you, I'll listen to you, I'll support you however I can.
May the pain of our losses bring life to our futures.

As I read posts today I was struck at how well worded some posts were. They made me feel hopeful and redeemed. And yet I was equally struck at how other posts said the same thing but the words they choose made me angry, defensive and confused. Let us be oh so careful to use our words to build each other up.
Let us bring hope to our future and teach empathy to our children. Let us not fall into the ease of racism. Let us rise above, let us heal.

It's Canada Day people!
There is alot of emotions connected to this holiday lately.
Let's take the time to celebrate the things we do right as country and educate our littles about the history of what was done wrong.
We can only move forward by acknowledging the past and choosing to do things differently in the future.
I choose to celebrate what's good.
I choose to learn from both my mistakes and those of who came before me.
I choose to forge a brighter path for those who come after me.
Let us be a positive nation.
Happy Canada Day to those proud to be Canadian. 🍁

Help me raise funds for the Climb Out of the Darkness for waterloo region! You can either donate directly through the link or support my Etsy Shop! I've decided that as a launch 50% of all proceeds will go towards the climb.
I'm excited to be helping out with Waterloo Region's first in-person Climb out the Darkness event this year. To be held this summer.

It's been 3 years, 9 months, and 12 days since my daughter fought her way into this world. She was well known as "the Epstein's case" at Canada's top hospital. Despite most of her over 30 doctors not thinking she had a chance of survival outside my womb they were willing and some were excited to try, and we were so grateful they did. She lasted almost 7 months despite many hurdles and life-threatening situations thrown her way.
She's now one for the history books. Her short life contributed so much to the progression of treatment for her heart condition. Because of her many, more babies will live and perhaps live even longer.
So here is to you medical moms and partners, here is to you battling rare diseases and diagnoses, here's to you heart warriors, here is to you battling grief, here is to you my sweat Saveah.
There is a light in the darkness, there is a hope worth holding on to.

Happy new year's everyone! I hope this new year is filled with blessings for each of you. 🤗 After a few months break I thought it best to update you all and share my most recent blessing. Meet Jayson, my youngest son. 🥰 It's definitely been a handful keeping up with two under two on top of my other responsibilities!
With my oldest living having just had his birthday making it now just one under two I am looking to ease back into work.
Feel free to contact me to set up a free consultation.
