We opened our doors in 2005, and have become known for our highly experienced teachers, our innovative approach to movement, and our efforts in community care and social justice. 🏳️‍🌈 Rainbow Restorative Yoga is an affinity space for 2SLGBTQIA+ community to land and find rest together. Restorative yoga is a practice of resting in comfortable, supported poses with props such as bolsters and blankets. These shapes can help the body, mind, and breath to calm and relax. Led by a queer-identified teacher, this class is an opportunity for slowing down, deep rejuvenation, and self-care.

Here’s the lowdown on parking when you swing by for class!

**Driveway tips:**

- 🚙 The parking spots are just for students of The Branches during class times.
- 🚙 Make sure to pull in as much as you can (aim for 4 cars deep) to save space.
- 🚙 Try to clear out of your spot within 5-10 minutes after class wraps up.
- 🚙 Do not park in the driveway on the right side of the building.

**Neighborhood parking vibes:**

Just a friendly reminder, we’re in a residential area, so let’s be good neighbours!

- 🚘️ If you can, show up a bit early and check out the side streets for parking. We want to keep Samuel St. from getting too crowded (check the map for where to go).
- 🚘️ According to the city rules, stay at least 1.5 meters away from any driveways when you park.
- 🚘️ Don’t forget to peek at the parking signs; most side streets have free 2-3 hour parking available.
- 🚘️ And definitely avoid the private lot across the street from The Branches.

🏖️It's the long weekend and we'll be off swimming in the lake, digging in the garden, hitting up the music festivals, and chilling in the hammock.

Last class is Friday 10am, Aug 1 Slow Flow.
We're closed Friday 12pm-Tuesday 9am.

Teacher Feature! Meet Jen!

Some questions we asked Jen :

1. If you could invent a new yoga pose, what would it be called? What would it focus on?

- The Lemon Squeeze - Pucker up your face like you just ate a tart lemon: squeeze! squeeze! squeeze! Then release and let all the muscles in your face relax, ahhhhh.

2. What is your favorite yoga position? Why is it your fav?

- Legs-up-the-wall! It is so calming and grounding to have my legs elevated - especially with a block under my sacrum. It's my go-to when I have trouble with sleep.

3. What got you into yoga? and/or into yoga teaching?

- Over 25 years ago, I came for the flexibility and stretching to compliment my physical exercise - I've stayed for the integrative mind-body wellness that yoga fosters when you practice on a regular basis.

4. If your yoga mat had a built-in special feature, what would be the coolest one?

- The coolest would be warming coils for cozy restorative poses.
