Trinity Village is a non-profit retirement community owned and operated by Lutheran Homes Kitchener-Waterloo. Made up of a Long Term Care Home, Retirement Residence and Independent Living Town Homes, Trinity Village is conveniently located on Kingsway Drive in Kitchener near Fairview Park Mall. Our Mission : In conjunction with community partners, Lutheran Homes Kitchener-Waterloo provides quality programs and facilities that enable people with housing, medical and social needs to live with dignity and respect. Our Vision: Lutheran Homes Kitchener-Waterloo, a faith-based ministry, will be a leader in providing superior care through innovative services and community partnerships that enable people to live with dignity and respect. Halloween is here! 🎃

Today, residents, families, and staff came together to celebrate with creative costumes, live music, and plenty of laughter. Trinity Village was filled with joy and Halloween spirit — a wonderful day shared by all!

This year has been full of new beginnings for our bees 🐝💚

After losing our hives last year, we welcomed new colonies in June 2025. One grew quickly, while the other needed a little extra care. In August, we even introduced a new queen to help the smaller hive find its rhythm.

This summer was challenging for our bees. With less nectar to gather, they still produced enough honey to sustain themselves through the winter. Safe and cared for in their hives, they’ll rest until spring as we wait to share a bountiful honey harvest in Fall 2026.

There will be no Beeden Honey Sales this 2025 season. We thank you for your support and look forward to sharing the sweetness of next year’s harvest with you.

A great day spent baking with friends at Oakridge 🍎!

Residents rolled up their sleeves and worked as a team to make fresh apple cupcakes. A sweet reminder of how much joy can come from simple moments shared together.

We had so much fun celebrating Oktoberfest over two days last week! 🍻
Residents and families enjoyed live polka music from The Black Forest Band, and spent the evening dancing and smiling. Prost to great company, and a big thank-you to our staff and volunteers for making it all possible! 🍂

🌼☀️ October has started bright and full of life here at Trinity Village! Our planters and community garden are bursting with colour — from sunflowers and zinnias to asters and more. With so much in bloom, it’s the perfect time to stop by the flower cart between the Studios and Care Centre to create a bouquet and take a piece of the garden home. 🌸

🧡 Today, we wear orange to honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation — a time to listen, learn, and reflect on the strength of Indigenous children, families, and communities. By wearing orange, we not only remember the past but also commit to truth, education, reconciliation, and meaningful change, working together to build a future rooted in respect, understanding, and unity.

One of the day’s highlights was honouring a group of residents and families with the OLTCA's LTC Community Engagement Certificate, awarded to those who help make a positive contribution within the home.

We are so proud of the success of our Grand Parade & Community Engagement Day 2025, and grateful to have celebrated the amazing individuals who make our community stronger every day! For we can do far more together than on our own.
