The strangest thing about multipluralism is sometimes, yes, sometimes no. There never is a clear solid one way answer to tricky situations. In matters of the heart, honor your one without intentionally hurting someone else. In matters of morals, hold your beliefs, yet realize there is a place for different values. Yet war and brutality are never the answer to a sustaining level of peace and well being. Never.

You know, sometimes the therapist is not the expert in the room, you are. There are times when I become a mirror and reflect or prompt your natural wisdom to come through, such that it becomes a pattern....and you feel it becomes yours. I truly believe we all have a deep resource within, sometimes a little guidance is all that is needed.

Recovery can mean many things. Oh yes! Recovery from loss, recovery from illness, recovery from a sudden trauma, recovery from a change in life status. The point to remember is, the process of recovery takes time. It is in these days/weeks/months, that tenderness and kindness to self are essential ingredients. Least we forget......we matter.

We have one life.....and it is up to each of us to align with our hearts, clear old energy and discover what lights us up. The process of dissolving our wounds, by shining a light on what you are still holding onto is part of this journey. One can never fully shine when you are living out of wound stories. The need to embrace and move beyond this is essential. Then and only then can you start to shine. And who doesn't love a shining star.

The amazing thing about life is it throws us curve balls.....and these balls shake the very foundation of what we thought we knew. That is where things get tricky, confusing and down right not ok. At this point, reaching out for support is the best possible solution.....get your bearings, find your center.....come back home to your inner truths. How do I do this? Yup, trust in the support of another.

When looking for a therapist:
Meet the therapist and determine if you feel safe, comfortable and connected with the therapist's style of therapy and space. Most clients are nervous with a first visit, as is natural and expected. Despite this fear, you will have a gut feeling about the therapist. We all have personality and communication differences of which some people feel more comfortable with certain people. Listen to this. If you are not comfortable, you will not have genuine communication, which is a key element. Why waste your time or money...try a few people until you find the right person. The right therapist can be a life changer.

In the face of change, we need a space to get clear on our thoughts, feel our feelings, work through accepting change and finding our way back. Clarity and action happen only after you move through the emotional and conceptual aspects of change. This is a many stepped process. When you feel the strain of change, reach out for support. Get comfortable and get intimate with whats really going on inside.
