New Blog Post Alert!

We live in a world overflowing with self-help advice. Books, podcasts, webinars, YouTube videos…the wisdom is endless. But here’s the real question: how helpful is all of that knowledge if we never actually apply it?

In my latest blog post, I explore the reality of self-help oversaturation and share simple, heartfelt strategies for moving from just collecting advice to actually putting it into action.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re drowning in advice but still not moving forward, this one’s for you. 💛

Remember, transformation doesn’t come from what we know. It comes from what we do. One step at a time, one practice at a time, one act of courage at a time. You don’t need to be perfect, you just need to begin.

We live in a time where personal development advice is everywhere. Open your favourite podcast app and there are thousands of episodes on productivity, confidence, and mindfulness. Scroll through social media and you’ll find quick “life hacks” and motivational quotes on every feed. Walk into a...

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned on my own growth journey is the difference between boundaries and walls.

For years, I thought shutting people out was the only way to protect myself. But walls don’t just keep the hurt out; they also block love, joy, and connection.

Boundaries, on the other hand, are an act of self-love. They let the good in while keeping what drains us out.

In my latest blog, I’m sharing the difference between walls and boundaries, plus simple exercises to help you check where you might be building bricks instead of opening doors.

Ask yourself today: am I putting up a wall, or setting a boundary?

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned through my own personal growth journey is the difference between boundaries and walls. For years, I thought putting up walls was the only way to protect myself. I thought if I shut people out, avoided being vulnerable, and kept my guard up, I couldn’t get ...

✨ NEW BLOG POST ALERT ✨

Ever feel like “live in alignment with your values” is advice you’re supposed to follow… but no one actually teaches you how to do it?

I get it.
"Core values" has become a bit of a buzzword, but the truth is: knowing your values is life-changing.

When you’re clear on what truly matters to you, you stop second-guessing yourself, set better boundaries, and start living life on purpose, not autopilot.

That’s why I created a brand new blog post to help you:

✅ Discover your personal core values
✅ Define what they actually mean to you
✅ Check if you’re living in alignment (and gently shift if not)

This is your roadmap to clarity, confidence, and living authentically.

After holding space, asking the hard questions, and navigating big emotional breakthroughs (mine and others!), I’ve learned some powerful lessons… and I’m sharing the top 10 on the blog 💻✨

These aren’t just lessons I teach, they’re ones I’ve lived through. And you don’t need to be a coach to start using them. You just need to be ready to shift 🔥

https://alteregowellness.wixsite.com/alter-ego-wellness/post/10-things-i-ve-learned-from-life-coaching-and-how-you-can-use-them-too

Life coaching teaches you things textbooks never will. It holds up a mirror, and asks what you’re going to do with what you see. These 10 truths didn’t come from theory. They came from real conversations, insights, and watching people transform from stuck to unstoppable. Here’s what I’ve lear...

✨Let’s talk about getting your life together for real.

Not in a “buy a planner and drink more water” kind of way (though those help), but in the real-life, adulting-is-hard, where-do-I-even-start kind of way. If you’ve ever looked around and thought, "How did everything get so messy?" you’re not alone.

Here’s how I’ve been pulling it together, gently, imperfectly, consistently:

🧹 Declutter your space and energy
Clean a corner. Toss the junk drawer. Unfollow people who drain you. Your peace is too expensive to waste.

🧠 Get clear on what matters now
Write down your top 3 priorities this month. Not forever, just for now. Focus where it counts.

📓 Add one grounding habit
Try 5 minutes of stretching, a glass of water, or simply asking, “What do I need today?”

💸 Face your finances without shame
Look at your spending. Make small shifts. Awareness is a form of empowerment.

🫶 Check your social life
Spend time with those who lift you. Set boundaries with what drains you.

🌱 Start small, but start
One step this week. That’s enough. You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin.

✨ Action Steps:
1. Declutter one drawer or inbox folder
2. List your top 3 priorities
3. Pick a morning and evening habit
4. Observe your finances without judgment
5. Text someone and reconnect

You’re allowed to be a work in progress and still show up as a masterpiece. You’re doing better than you think.

🚨 New Blog Post Alert! 🚨

Have you ever felt like you’re constantly putting others’ needs before your own, afraid to disappoint or say no? I know that struggle all too well. For years, I thought being agreeable and always saying yes made me a good person. But in reality, it left me drained, resentful, and disconnected from my own needs.

In my latest blog post, I’m sharing my journey of breaking free from people-pleasing and how you can, too. Learning to set boundaries, prioritize my own happiness, and let go of guilt has been life-changing, and I want that for you as well.

It’s time to take back your energy and start living for YOU. Click the link below to read the full post. Let me know your thoughts in the comments! Have you struggled with people-pleasing? 💬⬇️

For as long as I can remember, I was a people pleaser. I didn’t call it that, of course. I thought I was just being kind, agreeable, and easygoing. I thought putting others' needs before my own was the right thing to do. But over time, I realized that my constant need for approval and my inability...

✨ New Blog Post Alert! ✨

Letting go isn’t a one-time decision, it’s a process. A messy, emotional, sometimes frustrating process. One day, you feel free. The next, you’re pulled right back into memories you swore you had released. And that’s okay. Healing isn’t linear.

In my latest blog post, I’m sharing my personal journey of letting go of the version of myself I used to be, the science behind why releasing the past is so hard, and some real, actionable steps to help you move forward. 💛

If you're struggling to let go of a relationship, a past version of yourself, or something that's no longer serving you, this post is for you. ✨

With love & patience,
Cathryn 💛

I used to think that letting go was as simple as making a decision. You tell yourself you’re done, you cut the cord, and you move on. But the truth is, letting go isn’t a single choice, it’s a thousand choices made over and over again. Some days, you wake up feeling free. Other days, the weigh...

🌿 Healing is messy. Sometimes, it feels like you’re unraveling, like everything is breaking before it can be rebuilt. But that’s part of the journey.

💔 The hard days? They don’t mean you’re failing. They mean you’re healing. Growth comes with discomfort, with confronting your past, with feeling deeply instead of numbing out.

✨ I just published a new blog post, "Healing Is Not Pretty: The Unraveling Before the Rebirth," where I dive into the raw, unfiltered truth about what it really means to heal. If you’ve ever felt like your healing journey is anything but graceful, this one's for you.

💬 Let me know in the comments: What’s one thing you’ve learned about healing?

Healing Is Not Pretty: Healing is often portrayed as a serene, beautiful journey - a montage of meditation, self-care days, and quiet revelations. We picture it as a gentle unfolding, a gradual softening into wholeness. But the truth? Healing is messy. It’s raw, uncomfortable, and, at times, downr...

🌿 Feel-Good Friday: Let It Go & Enter the Weekend Gently 🌿

Ahhh, Friday. We made it. 🥂 The week has been what it’s been. Maybe it was productive, maybe it was chaotic, maybe it was a mix of both. But here’s your gentle reminder: you don’t have to carry it all into the weekend.

Breathe. 🫁
Stretch. 🧘‍♀️
Release. ✨

The weekend is a soft landing, a space to reset, recharge, and realign. Let go of what didn’t go as planned. Celebrate what did. You are allowed to pause, to exhale, to step into your weekend with ease and intention instead of stress and exhaustion.

So, what’s one small way you can enter the weekend gently today? Maybe it’s a slow cup of coffee ☕, a walk in fresh air 🍃, or simply giving yourself permission to do absolutely nothing for a little while.

You don’t need permission to rest. You are worthy of slowing down, of softness, of moments that nourish you. Let this weekend be a gift to yourself. 💛

💫 Have Your Own Back: Trust Yourself 💫

The most important relationship you’ll ever have is the one with yourself. Yet, so many of us hesitate to trust our own instincts, looking for external validation instead of tuning into our inner wisdom. Self-trust doesn’t come from never making mistakes, it comes from knowing that no matter what happens, you have your own back.

Think about this: You’ve survived every challenge you’ve faced. Take a moment to really let that sink in. Even when you doubted yourself, you figured it out. That’s proof of your strength! That’s proof that you can trust yourself.

💡 Self-trust is the foundation for growth. When you believe in yourself, you move forward with clarity, and purpose.

Here’s how to strengthen your self-trust and step into your power:

✨ Honour your intuition. Your gut feelings are messages, trust them. The more you listen, the stronger they become.

✨ Make decisions from self-worth, not fear. Ask yourself: Is this choice aligned with my values and goals? Or am I acting from doubt and external pressure?

✨ Keep promises to yourself. Following through on commitments, big or small, reinforces trust and self-respect.

✨ Shift your self-talk. Speak to yourself with the same encouragement you’d offer a friend. Self-doubt weakens trust, but self-compassion strengthens it.

✨ Remind yourself: You are capable. You’ve overcome challenges before, and you’ll do it again. Trust your ability to navigate whatever comes next.

💛 When you believe in yourself, you create momentum. You take action. You grow. Start today! What is one way you can show up for yourself right now?
