I can't wait to meet with everyone who registered for the AgCulture Workshop! It will be a great opportunity for learning together with other Mental Health Providers and connect to support each other in how Mental health services are offered to our Agriculture community across Canada.❤️🚜🇨🇦
See you there!!

Mental health support in agriculture starts with understanding agriculture.

AgCulture is a free monthly mental health literacy workshop designed specifically for health professionals who want to better understand the unique realities facing Canadian farmers and ranchers.

📅 Sessions run monthly with the next happening on May 29
💻 Online via Zoom

AgCulture builds awareness of agricultural stressors, strengthens therapeutic relationships with rural clients, and equips participants with culturally competent, practical skills to better support farming communities.

Ideal for social workers, psychologists, nurses, physicians, and anyone working at the intersection of mental health and rural life.

Facilitated by Bonnie Taylor, MSW, RSW, a psychotherapist and member of the rural agricultural community who brings both clinical expertise and lived experience to this work.

Free to attend. Register for the next session: https://hubs.ly/Q04gHsNs0

What a beautiful way to spend a Friday afternoon, with Vanessa at 'sHaven!!

We have some new programing in store and will also be offering Custom Programs if anyone is looking to do some personal or team development or certification for learning including leadership and communication skills, in partnership with the Ponies.

I love how peaceful it is at Poppy's Haven, and as much as I love playing with the horses, I have a new love for goats!

Happy International Women's Day, to all of the women in the past, present and future. I'm proud to be a part of this amazing group!

The “Women are Persons" monument in Ottawa is a tribute to the Famous Five: Irene Parlby, Louise McKinney, Nellie McClung, Emily Murphy and Henrietta Muir Edwards.

It recognizes the 1929 Privy Council decision that reversed a Supreme Court of Canada ruling, officially declaring women as "persons" under the British North America Act.

Thank You Farmers

While we're complaining about shoveling our driveways, Canadian farmers are out there at 5am breaking ice off water troughs and making sure their animals are fed. No snow days.

No sick days. No clocking out at 5. Just pure dedication 365 days a year so we can have food on our tables.

This post is for every farmer, rancher, and agriculture worker across this beautiful country. We see you. We appreciate you.
