Serenity The Bigining
Serenity Skin Care Studio started in a small room in the basement of a subsidized town home in Waterloo back in 2000, where Adriana Ruiz; current owner, begin her dream. In this 6X8 little room she offered Laboratoire Dr. Renaud Facial Treatments, Sculpted Gel nails, Waxing, Manicures and Pedicures.
Adriana was a victim of a jealous ex-employer, that decided to have the City of Waterloo shut her down for operating in her basement. Although she had all her PST, GST and business registrations in order, the city of Waterloo did not support home business. For this reason she was forced to find a commercial location to continue her dream.
In 2002 Adriana found a rental unit at the corner of Westmount and Erb St in Waterloo, where on February 2nd of 2002, She open her Spa doors to the public in a 1039 Sq Feet unit that she called Serenity Skin Care Studio and Spa. She now became direct competition to those that try to shut down her dream.
In 2005 Adriana begin her other career as Certified Educator and begin to teach for Laboratoire Skin Care Line as the Ontario Technical Trainer, and at the Ontario Nail Institute as the Aesthetics Educator.
