My name is Dr. Zena Bedessee and I received my medical degree from the University of Toronto in 1992 and began practising family medicine in 1994. I was raised in Kitchener, Ontario, and was a child when I first heard of Kriyayoga meditation. My father, Dr. Manwel Bedessee founded the Kriyayoga centre, Kriyayoga Meditation Centre - Yog Fellowship Temple in 1983. It is a centre within the community where you can experience complete health, peace, and prosperity through the scientific practice of Kriyayoga Meditation. Kriyayoga Meditation is an ancient, yet ever-new spiritual science which allows sincere practitioners to completely cure physical and mental illnesses. In short periods of time, many have healed themselves of such physical ailments as malignant breast cancer, colon cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, bronchial asthma, and more. The practice of Kriyayoga meditation is based on the principle of ahimsa (non-violence) and was the same technique practiced by world renowned proponent of truth and non-violence, Mahatma Gandhi. The technique is a complete education that generates the keen intelligence to quickly solve all problems of life, including those related to health, the environment, family, society, the economy, and global welfare.
Since meeting Kriyayoga Master and Scientist, Swami Shree Yogi Satyam, I have witnessed and examined many people who have significantly improved their health with this simple, yet effective technique. It gives me hope to know that this practice of Kriyayoga meditation can empower patients to regain control of their lives. As a physician, I had felt limited by the medical treatments available with which I could only partially help my patients cope with their illnesses, pain and stress. They were not complete cures to the problems of life. By the practice of Kriyayoga meditation, those who suffer from health problems are able to free themselves from lifelong dependence on medications. Because of the complete nature of this spiritual science, it has attracted many physicians and alternative health practitioners. In 2002, I gave up my full-time medical practice to promote health in the community employing the principles of Kriyayoga. In 2005, I became the president of Kriyayoga Meditation Centre - Yog Fellowship Temple, a non-profit organization dedicated to the teachings of Kriyayoga Meditation which promotes complete health (physical, mental and spiritual).
The humanitarian work of our centre is based on the concept of “Vasudeva Kutumbakum” which means“the world is one family”. All of our work is performed on a volunteer basis. All of our Kriyayoga classes are offered to the community free of charge.
People come from all over the world to our centre to participate in Kriyayoga programs. They are from all backgrounds, all religions, and some with no religious affiliation at all. Kriyayoga imparts the true concept of God and religion which promotes permanent unity among all people of the world resulting in truth, peace and non-violence. They learn to live in a community, work together, and cultivate the same united atmosphere in their own home. This results in a preference for joint family living rather than the nuclear family. Generation gaps will diminish as each generation learns from and respects each other's presence. This will be beneficial for the children who will evolve the spiritual pace of North America: · marriages will remain united because each partner shares the common goal of promoting the spiritual growth of their spouse, · aging family members are cared for by family with honour and dignity, decreasing the need in society for old age homes, and a · united family learns to greet the whole world as one home, and all its creation (the earth, plants, animals, and human beings) as their own. Come and learn about the great work of our centre located right here in your community. It is the only centre in North America that offers Kriyayoga Healing Programs that are uniquely taught by Swami Shree Yogi Satyam.
