❗️Heat wave warning in London, Ontario and surrounding areas. Here are some tips to help you stay safe❗️

Make sure your newborns are also dressed appropriately (cotton or other breathable fabrics) and are out of direct sunlight (use a stroller canopy). Use fans or AC in warmer spaces.

If you or your newborn are experiencing any symptoms of dehydration please contact your midwife.

“My name is Mackenzie, and I am here with Wind Rose Midwifery for my final year of studies in the Midwifery Education Program at McMaster University. Before coming to McMaster, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Life Sciences) from Queen’s University. Throughout my time at both schools, I have always found birth and reproductive sciences fascinating, so I am very happy and feel very fortunate to be where I am. 
I love being out in the sunshine in my spare time with good company, books, or a good coffee. I’m new to London (but have been loving it so far), and I look forward to exploring more of this area, getting to know all of you, and being a part of your care.”
