💫27 today💫
Wow, what a year that has passed.
Im starting a freaking farm!!! Opened a shop??? It still feels so surreal although we are putting, day after day, all the love and energy into this project.
I’m definitely embracing getting older and really feel like I’m stepping into myself more and more each day. I’m leaning into the plants, and absorbing their teachings. This feels so nourishing and supportive - I have confidence in their ability to resist, to adapt, and I know that their generosity knows no bounds.
I’m moved to know that I’m also supported by the most amazing friendships and love ever
So many big feels, so much gratitude and heartbreak. It’s all on the menu
Happy to be where I am and excited to see where I go 🌱
Thanks for tagging along and I hope to see you around 😊

Also!!!!! I’m going to freaking meet DAVE 1 from chromeo in October 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Récolte de bardane avec des assistant.es trop cool ✨🧡 burdock harvest with the sweetest assistants ☺️

I was so scared I’d miss the harvest window this season but I managed to get some beautiful burdock roots before the soil freezes ❄️

These roots are primarily going to be for our monthly herbal baskets aka Lunar Baskets 🧺 💗 if you haven’t heard about them yet, go check out the link in my bio! This month’s basket will include a lymphatic + mineralizing broth mix in which burdock will be the star 🌟 along with calendula and nettle!

Super thankful to have been joined in the garden by my sweet friend .el.papuchacha , Quentin the cat who sat on my knee for most of the harvest (he has good balance!), the many many worms 🪱and the chickens 🐓

Merci à for the picture hehe. And to for being the coolest and letting me harvest once again on your farm 💗🥰

What’s been brewing 🧙‍♀️🌻💛 this week has been quite busy but I’m also super proud of all that’s been accomplished :’)
I spent my afternoon at a long-term care home (chsld) and gave a workshop to some of the residents. We dove back into long-term memories, as most of them deal with different levels of Alzheimer’s. We made tea with fresh plants from my garden (and lemon balm from 🤩🌿) and made a room spray! It was my first workshop in a while and it felt so nice to be back teaching, it’s truly one of the things I love the most :) I especially love giving workshops to people who are so often disregarded by our society. There’s so much beauty, wonder and wisdom when sharing moments like this with these folks! Seems like it will be the first of many, and I will also be getting back into teaching my workshop that I put together last year for adults with learning disabilities ✨

I ended my day by finishing off the last details for the opening of our sunflower u-pick tomorrow 🌻☺️ painting at sunset in a sunflower field is quite special…especially that it suddenly down poured on me approximately 5 mins after I took this picture, haha 😅 let’s hope my paint job isn’t ruined tomorrow morning!

Last pic: testing out some clothing dye with sunflower heads that are past their prime! :D

Did ya hear? We’re hosting a sunflower U-pick event really shortly!! 🌻💛 (Date tbd but most probably opening 1st or 2nd week of august depending on when they bloom)

I’m definitely less active in product making these days as I’m super focused on getting our farm together and working on all sorts of projects that are more related to the farm! This event is actually taking place right next to where we’ll have our project, on the same farm that owns the land we’re going to rent! If you haven’t yet been to Brownsburg, you’ll fall in love with its dreamy landscape, that’s for sure 🌞

The first flower bloomed yesterday 🌻 and I spent all morning running around the lachute flea market to find the cutest props for our photo stations 😌 The posters are made and going up in local shops in the next few days, it’s feeling exciting!

I really hope to see you there 💛 oh and I’ll also have a few of my products for sale at the event ✨

Gemini season recap ♊️
I made cakes, I sewed a scrunchie bag, I spent time with people I love, I pet my Maurice and Roger, I ate cheese (burrata and buffarela) like an apple, I cried, I laughed, I got accepted for my first (1st) grant ever, we completed our farm business plan that we’ve been working on for the past year, I prepared for our first market, became a board member for my local women&kid’s shelter, and made new friends !! I also put a timer for only 15 mins a day of social media and have been trying to distance myself with these platforms. The world is in shambles and this enumeration can sound fun and all, but I’ve especially been trying to take care of my mental health that has been a hectic rollercoaster. Social media isn’t real, there have been so many moments of doubt, sadness, pain, and major fatigue throughout this all. It’s easy to remember and share the joyful parts, not so much the rest. I hope you’re all taking care of yourselves and being easy on your beautiful selves 💓 thanks for sticking around p*s prenez soins de vous xx Now I will go bathe in the sun and so should you!

A true ally for anxious times 🧡 my go-to for panic attacks, nervous breathing and feelings of constriction due to stress. This balm is one of my favorite remedies to make. I harvest flowers that give off potent solar and calming energy, infuse them in oil and then finish off the process with local beeswax. I allow it to have an evolving nature, adapting to what the season offers but always keeping the same intention in mind. 🌼 In this specific edition there is some chamomile, wild pansies, calendula and mostly some lavender leaves which give off the sweetest (almost vanilla-like) and very grounding scent. This is paired with artisanally distilled goldenrod (small batch & very ethical production by Naturessence) essential oil. Goldenrod is magic when it comes to panic attacks and feelings of tightening of the chest due to stress. It aids us in regaining a sense of serenity and lightness. The speed at which it works is quite impressive as well. It’s especially great for those overcoming trauma and feelings of restlessness. It is said in herbalism that yellow flowers evoke the sun and act as such in our hearts. I can truly say this is true for goldenrod flowers. Their scent is at once floral and green, helping us remember those sweet summer days.
A bit of this balm applied to your solar plexus or upper chest is my favorite way to apply it 🌞 I often use it right before going to bed, when I’m feeling restless. The scent almost immediately lulls me into sleep ☁️💙

Lil Sunshine balm is surely the product I’ve gotten the most touching feedback for. I don’t share them here because there is often a lot of vulnerability and it doesn’t feel right to me to breach that trust for the sake of selling products. However, I am so very honored to know that it has assisted folks in trying times 🤍
