I’m Shanna — founder of Empowered Beauty & Therapeutics — and if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that life LOVES to throw a plot twist.
I originally started this business solo (just a girl with an Advanced Prescriber Pharmacy degree as well as a dream of making injectables less intimidating and more empowering).
But last year, I got hit with a tiny bit of devastating news — the College of Pharmacists decided to change their scope of practice… which meant I could no longer offer aesthetic injections while holding myself out as a Pharmacist
Cue: ugly tears, and rage-Googling every path that could lead me back to what I love.
Instead of going quietly into the night like a normal person, I enrolled in nursing school basically the next morning (because apparently, I thrive on chaos??). And since I didn’t want to leave my clients hanging in the meantime, I roped Connie into my master plan.
She started training under me, learned my injection style inside out, and fully adopted my obsession for natural, fresh-looking results.
Fast-forward to now:
Connie is holding down the fort and gaining a serious fan club for her gentle approach (must be all those years working pediatrics — the woman could calm a wild raccoon).
I’m flying through nursing school at an unhinged rate so I can get back in the clinic ASAP.
We truly love what we do: empowering both men and women to look and feel like their best (most confident, unstoppable) selves — whether that’s with a sprinkle of Botox or a full glow-up transformation.
