Yesterday was a day to pause and be thankful.
The weekend was weird, crazy, happy and very sad.
My mom was in the hospital with a badly broken leg, and after 4 weeks she was able to come home. SO EXCITING for her. She's got a long road ahead of her, but she's HOME!!!
Jack's mom has been failing and travelling down the very sad road of Alzheimer's for the last few years. She went into the hospital on Friday afternoon and she left this world to be with Jesus on Sunday afternoon. The family is sad, but only to a degree. Watching her waste away the last bit has been so hard. Knowing that she is happy and healthy in heaven is comforting and calming.
There is real emotions tied to each event, and the mixture of happy/sad is odd.
The feelings are all real and unique and important for each one of us.
NEVER be afraid to feel, to have emotions, to express them.

AI or not???
I am learning how AI can be a great tool for helping in my office. I have used it to tighten up my text, give me better words, help plan my garden, help with some farm decisions and even created an image or two.
BUT AI still needs me to input and proof read and make the final call on what I am going to use or not.
The old saying "garbage in = garbage out" applies to AI too.
Don't get me wrong, it is a GREAT tool.
And a TOOL is all it is. We will always need people and a community.
I asked Chat for help for mental health, anxiety, and life skills and each answer included talking to someone, NEVER doing it all on my own.
That's where Horse Connect can help. Horses can listen, validate, encourage, ask questions and reflect emotions.
AI can never help you feel the warmth of a horse. Hear it breathe and sigh in response to your feelings. You can't comb an AI horse's mane or tail or smell its scent. You don't feel the hug of it, or have it willingly follow your leadership.
Winston Churchill got it right when he said "There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man".
