Aquatic Centre | Safety Standards

We have updated the Lacombe Aquatic Centre safety standards for Spring and there will now be a guard on duty during more of our on-deck activities. Wrist bands are also now mandatory for swimmers over the age of two. See details and more at our front desk. Also, we have added lane swims and hot tub availability to our schedule! The yellow stars ⭐ show when the hot tub is NOT available, all other times are good to go!

Lacombe Street Cleaning is underway!

City of Lacombe crews are out and about during this transition from Winter to Spring, working hard to keep our streets clean and safe.

With snow still in the forecast, our teams are always ready to pivot, switching from street cleaning to snow clearing at the drop of a hat to keep up with changing conditions. Thanks for your patience.

Please watch for and follow posted signage to help crews do their work safely and efficiently.

A big thank you to our dedicated staff who continue to keep Lacombe looking its best, no matter the weather.

Our Story

The City of Lacombe is a vibrant, fast-growing community of over 13,985 residents that welcomes innovation and enterprise while honouring its architectural and historical heritage. One of Alberta’s newest cites, Lacombe is optimally located along the QE II Highway corridor between Calgary and Edmonton, and in close proximity to Red Deer. Lacombe has a rich natural environment of lakes and green spaces, along with a wide range of lifestyle amenities and recreational opportunities.

We’re open for business! With a regional trade area exceeding 170,000 people, Lacombe is an ideal location for commercial and industrial development with a ready supply of serviced, suitably zoned land available.

Lacombe is also an important logistics, research and service hub for the agricultural industry in Alberta. The city hosts both the federal and provincial agriculture research facilities, as well as the head office for the Agricultural Financial Services Corporation, and is proud to serve area farmers and producers.

Our beautifully preserved Edwardian-era downtown area, with its growing complement of sidewalk patios, exciting new restaurants, artisan bakeries and an award-winning microbrewery, is fast becoming a destination for ‘foodies’ across the region. We’re always looking to add to our burgeoning culinary scene. Come check us out! PLEASE NOTE: This page is not monitored outside of regular business hours.
