If you’ve been dreaming of adopting a German Shepherd, now’s your moment. 🐾

At Four Feet and a Heartbeat, we have some incredible shepherds in search of forever homes—each with a unique personality and so much love to give:

🐕 Genner – Young, intelligent, and highly trained. This guy knows all the commands—sit, stay, paw, roll over—and could even be a great candidate for dog sports or competitive obedience. Eager, bold, and deeply loyal.

🖤 Tee Boe – A 2-year-old bundle of brains and energy. Curious, adventurous, and incredibly trainable. Tee Boe loves outdoor time and thrives in environments with structure and enrichment. He’s looking for an experienced handler ready to help him shine.

Both are:
✔️ Neutered
✔️ Fully vaccinated (Rabies, 5-way, Kennel Cough)
✔️ Currently cared for in our no-kill rescue in Central Alberta
✔️ Adoptable across Western Canada (or further, if transport is arranged)

Four Feet and a Heartbeat has taken flight! Thank-you General Lee Aviation for your support, the enlightened perspective and a birds eye view of our neighborhood /our future!!

The sanctuary dedicates 6 acres to the homeless animals and is surrounded by a pet friendly lake and trail system, in the City of Lacombe. Any experienced dog walkers out there? Please apply!!

"HOLSTER" ADOPTION UPDATE ALERT!

Hello,

Just wanted to share another update on Holster - who we now call Ferdinand. He’s settled into our family so naturally, it’s like he’s always been here. He loves playing in the backyard with our other dog, running around with our toddler, and soaking up all the snuggles he can get.
