We recently had a fourth year kinesiology student, Merry Palmer, from UBC Okanagan’s Faculty of Health and Social Development with us for a few months completing her practicum.
Her thoughts on her experience - “Over the summer, I had the incredible opportunity to complete my practicum at Turtle Bay Physiotherapy. It was a truly rewarding experience that allowed me to apply my knowledge in a real-world setting, build hands-on skills, and deepen my understanding of patient care. One of the most meaningful parts of this journey was the chance to form genuine connections with both the staff and the patients, their support, trust, and kindness made a lasting impact. I’m so grateful to the amazing team at Turtle Bay for their mentorship and for creating such a welcoming environment. I am excited to carry everything I’ve learned into the next chapter of my education!”
