🦁 Lakefield Village Lions Club and Lakefield & District Club – Together We Can Rebuild - Support our Community Members in need🦁
In light of the devastating fires in Lakefield (Home Hardware and Free Topping Pizza) the Lakefield Village Lions Club and Lakefield & District Club want to support families who have lost everything — including those whose jobs are displaced by the closures of Home Hardware, Free Topping Pizza and IDA.
We have been in contact with the disaster coordinator who has reached out to the 5 families who have lost their homes. Those that have been reached have indicated a preference for monetary or gift card donations. Clothing is a very personal preference so some may prefer to purchase at their own timing. If some sizing is provided we will add below.
This is what we have decided:
✔️ First of all, please continue to support Pay-It-Forward and other initiatives by our local businesses like Nutty Bean, Lakefield Pantry, Canoe and Paddle, Cheesy Fromage, The Loon, Century 21, Village Pet Food & Supply, LAWS, Sunshrine Day Spa and Salon and so many more. We are so proud to be part of this amazing community.
✔️ Tomorrow (Monday) Join us at:
📍 The River Den, 13 Water St. N, Lakefield, ON (in Isabel Morris Park behind arena)
🕰️ 10-2 pm
▪️Enjoy a coffee, tea and/or a sweet. Hugs and conversations are welcome.
▪️Make a donation if you can (see below) ▪️Write a message of support on our “Kindness Board” to affected families/individual/businesses which we will pass on afterwards
