HURRY as the date to sign up for a Christmas Hamper is Today DECEMBER 15 2025

The Lanark Highlands Food Pantry is providing Christmas Food Hampers (frozen turkey and all the trimmings) for area residents who would benefit from an abundant food basket in time for the holiday season.

The Food Pantry will be taking names up to Monday December 15. The hampers are being handed out on December 19. There are sign up sheets at the Lanark Thrift Store and at the Food Pantry for people to self-register.

As the Fall/Winter respiratory illness season has begun, we are now seeing over 5% positivity for influenza activity and can provide greater confidence the season will peak in late December 2025/early January 2026.
Vaccination against influenza remains the most effective measure to prevent severe illness, hospitalizations, and deaths.
You can book an appointment to get vaccinated at the following places: Community Health Centres, pharmacies and your local public health unit.
