First full moon of 2026!

The focus of this moon is to let go of toxic relationships and create the change we want. Even though change is scary and we like to hold onto what’s familiar. If we don’t create change, we remain stagnant, stuck. Embody the strength and power of the wolf and create the change you want to see in your life.

The year of the snake is coming to an end in mid-February. We’re meant to shed the things that are no longer serving us. This coincides well with this full Wolf Moon.

Use this powerful full, super moon to create boundaries, goals, resolutions to create the change you want to see in your life.

Here’s my JOY for today! I actually got the gas for $1.13 per litre after my BCAA discount was applied.

On the way to get gas, I passed a station where it was $1.59/litre. This felt like a Christmas miracle! I filled my car for less than $40. At this time of year, every little break makes a big difference. In November it was costing me about $56 to fill my car.

Joy comes in many different ways, often when you least expect it. Several things over the past week brought me joy but I either didn’t have my phone or the picture didn’t work out or I missed my window to post for it to be relevant. Regardless, it didn’t prevent me from enjoying the moment - just from sharing it.

Enjoy the moments of joy in each day. They only have to matter to you. ❤️

My JOY for today is Christmas baking.

It stared on Sunday with 5 dozen butter tarts. I’ve made three different types of cookies, totalling 12 dozen. I have one more batch to make. And 6 dozen more tarts to make.

These latest ones are chocolate crinkle cookies. I like how they look as if they’ve been rolled in snow and the chocolate colour gives a nice colour contrast in the baking tin.

I’ve always e joyed baking. I used to help my grandmother bake when I was young. Now Christmas baking helps me feel connected to her. It helps put me in a festive mood. And my friends look forward to these gifts from the heart each year.

My JOY for today is my geranium that thinks it’s a Christmas cactus! It has so many buds on it right now. I think I’ll have a blooming geranium right until she needs to go out into the deck.

Here’s my JOY for today.

My good friend gives me an advent calendar every year. This year’s calendar is made up of cocktail bombs! Such a fun and unique way to toast the season each day.

I smile with excitement each day when I open a new window. It brings the magic and child-like wonder of the season to my living room. An added bonus is that it’s made in Canada!

I’m grateful for my friend, her generosity, and for bringing me so much joy, not just at Christmas but throughout the year!
