We’re sending a heartfelt thank you to the Fort Langley Youth Rowing Society (FLYRS) for creating and leading a donation drive to support Foundry Langley.💙

Over the Family Day weekend, FLYRS athletes in grades 8-12 went door-to-door to approximately 300 houses to distribute flyers throughout various Langley neighbourhoods, encouraging residents to donate new toiletries for youth who access Foundry Langley.

On collection day, rowers, coaches and their families came together to gather, pick up, sort, and box donated items.

Their collective effort truly embodies the power of community.

Supporting youth starts with healing, exploring, and restoring together as caregivers. ✨

Join us for an empowering session with our special guest Shinnie, as she shares her years of experience in trauma counselling to explain the basics of what trauma is and how it can affect us as caregivers, as well as our youth.

She will also share about what types of supports are available through Encompass’ HEART program and how you can access them.

We will also have coffee, tea, and light snacks! ☕

Time: 6:00 pm - 7:20 pm
Location: Foundry Langley 20616 Eastleigh Cres.

February is all about learning, celebrating, and uplifting Black stories + voices. 📚💛

We’ve got a full month of events for Black History Month, and we’d love to see you there! These activities will be facilitated by our Youth Peer Support Workers during drop-in hours.

Black History Month is an opportunity for a focused, intentional, and elevated reflection and recognition of Black history and achievements - and the many historical and contemporary contributions of Black people and communities in Canada.

Meet Verayna, Substance Use Prevention & Health Promotion Facilitator from Pacific Community Resources Society (PCRS), who will be working out of Foundry Langley. She covers topics relating to health relationships, substance education, mental health education, resilience building and coping skills, and caregiver substance education.

You can connect with Verayna on Tuesdays from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
