Heard the one about putting butter on a burn? 🧈 Yeah... don’t do that.

It might feel like old-school advice, but it actually traps heat and makes things worse.

Here’s what you should really do:

✅ Cool the burn for at least 15 minutes
✅ Gently pat dry
✅ Remove any tight clothing or jewellery
✅ Loosely wrap it
✅ See a doctor if it’s more than a minor ouch
