If you are looking for facts and inspiration for the upcoming municipal by-election in the Township of Langley, I’d like to drop a few facts and some casual reading for you.

The current council for the Township of Langley is run by a slate very much controlled by Mayor Eric Woodward. As most of you know Eric Woodward owns probably half of the commercial buildings in downtown Fort Langley, and was the host behind the Fort Langley Night markets up until last fall.

I walked past the open green space where the markets were held and saw this sign, just this afternoon.

I recall Eric Woodward making promises of this nature one or two months prior to running for the local election. It seems that he also pledged huge donations to go to local charities from his nonprofit; claiming that all of his commercial properties were being put into his nonprofit foundation with proceeds going back to the community.

As fate would have it, about six days ago, an Investigative Reporter named Bethany Lindsay, exposed Woodward in any article claiming he actually NEVER even registered his foundation!

😳 There is no paper trail of donations, and none of the foundation/donation promises made pre-election have been followed through on.

So when I saw this huge poster in Fort today, I thought, “ I wonder if the Fort Langley project website has some updates as to what philanthropic work he has done in the past, or info on donations that he may have given back to the community.”

❌ Nope.

The Website link on this poster goes to a deadend static page with no details whatsoever.

✅ What does this mean?

⏰It means it’s time to clean up our TOL council, and it starts with the by-election next month.

Every resident and business owner in the Township of Langley needs to come together and vote for an independent council member that will start holding this mayor and slate accountable.

❌ No more slate

❌ No more one-sided voting in chambers

❌No more self serving decions made behind closed doors

❌ Stop the overspending (currently at close to $800 million!)

✅ Vote for Blair Whitmarsh for council next month

✅ Demand full transparency from the Mayor regarding his non-profit promises

✅ Stop the jaw-dropping debt that now sits at half a billion dollars since Woodward became Mayor

Still recovering but hopefully on the upswing now. Was on the receiving end of a golf ball to the back of the head/neck on July 18 on the 3rd hole at . Another player driving off the tee box on 16 decided a ‘fore’ wasn’t necessary for his sliced drive; so never saw it coming. .,.💥 🤯 it dropped me like a sack of potatoes.

It has been a STRUGGLE dealing with the aftermath, horrific dizziness, vertigo, ears ringing (still), blinding headaches, motion sickness, brain fog and more.

Concussions are awful.

CT scan this week to rule out the possibility of anything dangerous lingering..fingers crossed.

🙏 Thankful for the little things after such a scary event.
