๐ฟ Spotlight on Topicals
Topicals offer a localized, non-inhaled medication option that some patients include as part of their care plan.
Topicals are applied directly to the skin and interact with local receptors in the skin and tissues, rather than circulating widely through the bloodstream.
Patients often use topicals to ease joint or muscle discomfort, reduce stiffness, or complement other therapies.
๐ At Greenleaf, we guide patients in finding safe, effective topical options tailored to their symptoms.. Become a Greenleaf patient today to get personalized guidance and discover which topicals may be right for you.

Chronic pain and poor sleep often feed into each other, creating a cycle that makes both harder to manage.
๐น Pain can disrupt your ability to fall asleep or stay asleep.
๐น Poor sleep can increase inflammation, lower pain tolerance, and make pain feel worse the next day.
This cycle can lead to higher pain levels, daytime fatigue, mood changes, and slower recovery.
Medical c*nnabis, when guided by a physician, has shown potential to help address both pain and sleep disturbances in some patients. By improving sleep quality and reducing pain, it can help break this cycle and support overall well-being.
๐ If pain is keeping you up at night or making your days harder, we can help you explore whether medical c*nnabis is right for you.
A large Nature Medicine trial found that a standardized full-spectrum c*nnabis extract provided meaningful pain relief with added benefits for sleep and physical function.
โจ Key highlights:
โข More patients achieved 30โ50% pain reduction vs placebo
โข Relief continued over 12 months
โข Improvements in sleep quality and mobility
โข No signs of dependence or withdrawal
๐ For millions living with chronic back pain, these results point to a promising new option backed by rigorous research.
๐ฅ Inflammation is at the root of many chronic conditions โ from joint pain to autoimmune flares.
Emerging research suggests cannabinoids like CBD and THC interact with the bodyโs endocannabinoid system, which plays a role in regulating inflammation.
๐ก Patients using medical cannabis often report:
โ๏ธ Less joint stiffness and pain
โ๏ธ Better mobility
โ๏ธ Reduced swelling in flare-ups
๐ Curious whether medical cannabis could help with inflammation-related symptoms?
What you eat can play a powerful role in supporting steady energy and a more positive mood throughout the day.
Here are 3 easy, feel-good snack swaps to brighten your week:
โจ Bananas โ rich in B-vitamins & natural serotonin support
โจ Pumpkin seeds โ full of magnesium to help you stay calm & focused
โจ Yogurt + berries โ gut-friendly probiotics & antioxidants that support the gut-brain connection

๐๏ธ October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month ๐๏ธ
For many facing breast cancer, the journey goes far beyond the diagnosis. Managing pain, nausea, fatigue, sleep loss, and anxiety during treatment can be overwhelming. Having options that bring relief and comfort can make a world of difference during treatment.
โจ Research suggests that medical c*nnabis may help some patients:
๐ Ease treatment-related pain and discomfort
๐ Reduce nausea & appetite loss from chemotherapy
๐ Support better sleep & calm during treatment
๐ Improve overall quality of life by addressing mood and anxiety
๐ฟ C*nnabis is not a cure for cancer, but it can be an important tool for easing the burden of treatment when guided by a knowledgeable healthcare provider.
๐ At Greenleaf, our team is here to support patients every step of the way with personalized, evidence-based guidance.

The Greenleaf Medical Clinic was founded in 2011 and assesses patients across Canada for their eligibility into Health Canada's Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR) program.
The ACMPR provides a legal framework for patients to legally use ma*****na for beneficial relief of various symptoms.
Our physician's role is to assess patient eligibility through chart review and/or discussions with the patients' primary care physician or specialist(s). When deemed eligible, an appointment is scheduled for either an on-site consultation or a tele-medicine appointment through VSee. Tele-medicine consultations accommodate patients that cannot travel to our clinic due to illness or distance. Tele-Medicine allows patients across the country to benefit from our services that are otherwise unavailable. In either case, the physician will complete the required medical document authorizing the patient to use cannabis as medicine.
Following the patient/physician consultation, the patient will work with one of the clinic's medical office assistants to decide on the licensed commercial producer that best suits their requirements. Strains will be recommended as per the physicians chart notes and past patient experiences.
Please note the clinic does not provide medication, as we are not a compassion club or a dispensary. The only legal source of medication for patients is to access their medical ma*****na from one of Health Canada's licensed commercial producers. For a complete list of producers or more information regarding the Health Canada ACMPR program, please visit MedicalMarijuana.ca.
