Meet Delia He! Delia is a compassionate counsellor who is passionate about helping people navigate some of life’s most difficult challenges. She brings warmth, understanding, and expertise to her work, creating a supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences.

Her areas of focus include trauma, PTSD, anxiety and stress, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, and attachment or childhood-related issues. In these moments, it can be difficult to think clearly or access the tools you usually rely on. When your nervous system is regulated, your body is able to respond to stress, recover, and return to a sense of balance. When it becomes unregulated, that natural rhythm is disrupted, making it harder to move through everyday experiences with ease.

You might notice feeling constantly on edge, easily overwhelmed, emotionally reactive, or completely shut down. Unregulation can show up as racing thoughts, irritability, fatigue, difficulty focusing, trouble sleeping, or a sense that everything feels like too much or not much at all.

Overload happens when your system has taken in more stress than it can process, leaving you feeling stretched beyond your capacity to cope in that moment. This is not a personal failure, it is your nervous system trying to protect you.

Learning how to regulate your nervous system starts with recognizing these signs and responding with supportive, intentional practices that help your body feel safer and more steady over time. Small, consistent strategies can gently guide your system back toward balance.

At ThriveLife Counselling & Wellness, we are honoured to support our community in Langley and across British Columbia by offering accessible, reduced-cost counselling services. Whether you prefer in-person sessions or are located elsewhere in BC and looking for secure online support, our services are available through our encrypted telehealth platform.

We are also proud to support the next generation of counsellors. Our interns are in the final stages of their Master’s degrees in Counselling Psychology and are closely supervised by our experienced clinical team. They bring care, professionalism, and dedication to their work, and we are excited to be part of their growth as emerging clinicians.

Sessions with our interns are offered at a reduced rate of $50 per 50-minute session. If you or someone you know could benefit from lower-cost counselling, please contact us at internship@thrive-life.ca. We are here to support your well-being both in Langley and throughout BC.
