I was reminded of the power of the Horse Medicine this weekend co facilitating our Sacred Equine Fire Ceremony at Mystic Waters Ranch. Heartfelt thanks to the group of women who gathered with us and our majestic horse partners. It was an honor to witness the clear, magical and loving reflections the herd provided as teachers - all of which allowed old patterns and beliefs that no longer serve us to rise to the surface and be released..... opening participants up to the calling of their heart's desires, the souls' knowing of true and authentic self, and bringing all of the women gently into a life where their unique dreams,talents and services can be shared with the world. Look out 2019!!!

My prayers have been answered. Beautiful Addie Mae has found her way to me ( and my heart ) and will be partnering me with my FEEL work. She is so sweet, kind and gracious. Together we will provide respite and recovery to those who have suffered trauma. Our long term vision together is to have clients visit us on Salt Spring.... once we get our recently purchased haven ready for you to visit. LOTS of work to do, but once complete, we are sure it will be a sacred, enchanting and healing place to visit where we can support you in meditation, affirmative prayer practise, trauma recovery work, reflective horse sessions, serenity and healing. Check out our new digs! Tom and I will be in the cute farmhouse and Addie will be on the beautiful five acre property. Stay tuned for the barn building photos.... lots of FUN to come :)

I love what Angela Dunning has to say about what horses can teach us... she says: Such a deeply ingrained suppression of feminine values is leading to personal and global catastrophes on an unprecedented scale. The loss of heart based approaches to life and relationships, the dismissal of the vital role our emotions play, the mechanized lifestyles we all lead and the disconnection from the natural world are all taking their toll. The softness has been cut out of our psyches. Utterly desensitized, it seems we have to strive to reclaim our empathy, compassion, love and desire to help ourselves and those in need. We have to re foster our own feminine principles if we are to endure as a species.. and this is where it seems the horses are playing a significant role.
Parallel to the desire to restore feminine values is the growing interest in the potential of what nature and in particular, horses can teach us. They innately symbolize feminine values including: a deep connection to and respect for the body; valuing intuition and "gut instinct" ; listening and responding to all emotions as vital sources of information; to go with and not against the flow of life rather than seeking to control things; allowing our healthy instinctual nature to play a greater role and to prioritize connection and relationship over task, goals and achievement.
Should you be inspired - please know that a core element of my work with clients and the horses it to provide a sound, practical toolkit for bringing back a more feminine way of being into our lives. It is achieved by harnessing our intuition, reconnecting to the body, using our emotions as valueable information, focusing on relationship over task, and valuing the reflections of the horses to build more authenticity. These are by no means easy things to master and take courage, practise, support and a willingness to be vulnerable. Yet these are all intrinsic elements of how horses live and relate to eah other - and they can teach us how!
