Nurtured by Nature Yoga and Sound My classes take place at Sterling Stables on the farm, either in the barn or outdoors amongst nature and animals. I am a momma of two beautiful souls.

I hope you will join us and experience the benefit of yoga, animals and nature combined. Most of us know how important it is to balance mind, body and soul for complete and overall health and wellbeing. Broken down, the Sanskrit word Ha translates to ‘sun’ and Tha to ‘moon’, equating to Hatha being the yoga practice of balance. Suitable for all levels including the novice yogi my hatha yoga classes are basic, gentle, fun and challenging. Decrease stress, boost immunity, generate strength and increase flexibility as you move your body safely and with intention. At Nurtured by Nature Yoga my low impact classes include a variety of postures including openers for the legs, hips and shoulders. Create complete health of your mind and body and create space for breath and energy to flow through you freely. My life’s purpose is to support others in discovering and loving their truest selves while healing physically and emotionally. I have 19 years of experience in the mental health field. I have provided counselling and support to women, children, youth, and families in non-profit organizations, schools, communities, residential and private settings. Yoga, which is a form of mind-body practice, draws its roots to India and it has been proven to reduce stress and anxiety while improving physical and mental health. I am committed to sharing the gift of Yoga with others through a safe and supportive, trauma-informed approach. I understand through personal and professional experience the impact Yoga can have on mental health, healing, and overall wellness. I believe in the importance of healing through safely connecting to the body, mind, and soul. I completed my 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training in 2018. Additional training in Yoga and Trauma Therapy, as well as Somatic Therapy, have further enriched my understanding of how to support healing through Yoga. With presence and compassion, I use knowledge, breath work and specific yoga poses to match the challenges of the nervous system to shift the relationship towards greater regulation. As a Yoga instructor and counsellor I focus on the neurobiology of the nervous system through body and breath awareness. It is my honor to share the wisdom and power of yoga, awareness, and knowledge of counselling to do my part in supporting the healing of the collective. I'm hopeful to work with you to continue offering healing and support to our world.

Today, we honour a practice that is so much more than movement. Yoga is breath. It’s stillness. It’s strength. It’s healing. It’s community. It’s a way home to yourself.

Yoga has transformed my life—and every day I get to witness it transforming the lives of others. Whether it’s the first deep breath someone takes after a long day, the courage to show up on hard days, or the quiet power of someone learning to trust themselves again—this is yoga.

I believe yoga should be in every school, every community centre, and accessible to all— 'A pre requisite for Life's because the world needs more peace, more connection, more presence.

To everyone who has stepped on their mat—whether once or a thousand times—thank you. You are part of a ripple effect of healing.

HUMILITY ✨ GRATITUDE ✨ COMMUNITY ✨

As we say farewell to 2024 and step into 2025 I reflect on my Yoga practice and the impact it has had on my life. Yoga offered a different lens through which to see & experience the world and myself & I am grateful 🙏

How often I get swept up in the day-to-day 'stuff' that is 'life' and how I am reminded each and every time I return to my mat that the practice is always there to support me 🌱

Yoga teaches me that it’s okay to pause and restart as many times as I need.

Yoga is a practice. Not an end goal. Not a competition.

In yoga, we are asked to meet ourselves just where we are—not forcing, not judging, but embracing our practice and our life with grace. It’s the recognition that every pose is a teacher, every breath is a guide, and every stumble is part of the journey. And while we don’t have all the answers we are showing up anyway, ready to grow.

2025 is here, and it feels like a dream coming to life! This year marks the beginning of something truly special as we open the doors to Oxygen Yoga & Fitness Brookswood. 🌟

Our long-term vision has always been to create a space where wellness, connection, and peace thrive—a sanctuary where the community can come together to sweat, heal, and grow.

Prepare for the Holidays with Calm and Balance. This series will offer a reprieve from the busyness of the holiday season. You will learn and practice tools to help you stay grounded during a busy time of year.

Each week we will integrate strength, flow, relaxation, and sensory experiences (aromatherapy and sound healing), offering a comprehensive grounding practice that will appeal to anyone seeking balance in both body and mind.

Week 1: Root to Rise: Focus will be on connection with the earth to create balance and stability.
