Aesthetic Aquaponics is an upcoming family owned business located in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. The idea began through Bruce's passion for utilizing alternative energy sources to produce organic and high health impact foods. After constantly discussing the local and global needs for sustainable farming, the father/daughter team were left inspired to make both a local and global impact through sustainable food production. After attending a local seminar on Aquaponics, it seemed like a no-brainer. Small systems can easily produce enough food to provide for yourself and your neighbours in a low cost, low maintenance approach to farming, even when there is not an abundance of space. Initially, Aesthetic Aquaponics will cater to urban spaces such as table top systems and in house tank systems. Our goal is to provide individuals with Aquaponics systems that are aesthetically pleasing, efficient, and sustainably designed. Through organic growing and sustainable urban farming practices, our goal is to provide customers with systems that will produce delicious fruits, vegetables, and fish by utilizing sustainable and efficient urban gardening practices - In their own home! Eventually, as we learn and grow within the industry, we hope to be able to provide the same services on a much larger scale. Once we have established a local business we hope to expand our systems to assist others around the globe in providing the same nutritious diet for their own families, regardless of space, environmental factors, or economy.
