Meet Ashlin
Ashlin Pandher is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). She holds a Master of Counselling and is passionate about supporting emotional well-being, personal growth, and meaningful change through compassionate, client-centred care.
Ashlin has experience providing individual and group counselling to youth and adults in both school-based and community settings. Her work has included facilitating psychoeducational groups and providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive counselling to clients from diverse backgrounds. She strives to create a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and supported.
As a South Asian counsellor, Ashlin brings a deep awareness of how culture, family systems, intergenerational experiences, and identity shape mental health. She understands the unique challenges that may arise around stigma, expectations, acculturation, and balancing multiple cultural worlds. This perspective allows her to work with cultural humility and sensitivity while remaining attuned to each individual’s unique lived experience.
With a background in psychology and criminology, Ashlin brings a holistic and strengths-based perspective to her counselling practice. Her experience spans youth residential care, one-on-one support with children with autism, and facilitating conflict-resolution and personal development workshops with individuals involved in the justice system. These roles have shaped her understanding of complex life experiences and commitment to ethical practice, collaboration and meeting clients where they are.
Ashlin is fluent in English and Punjabi, and conversational in Hindi, allowing her to offer culturally meaningful support. She is dedicated to walking alongside clients as they build insight, resilience, and practical tools to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and self-compassion.
