Hello All! Welcome to my page. My name is Jen and I am the massage therapist of Ninth Nirvana. Little Bio here :)

I graduated from a 2yr 2200 hour Advanced Massage Therapy program in 2006. I worked as a full time RMT in Manitoba since then up until 2019 when I decided to move to BC. Now its not all that easy to switch provinces in this career, it can be expensive mainly, and really difficult. After looking into it, I decided that after nearly 15 years of doing Massage Therapy full time, maybe I would take a break and go back to school. I still enjoy my work and decided to practice here in BC providing mobile massage. I have a few regular clients here who get bi-weekly massages, I prefer to take clients booking 2 appts minimum; couples or groups of people aka friends/family.
I recently started a job pt- time serving, it's been years since I have done this, but I miss the social aspect and is a good opportunity to meet people and has a flexible work schedule!

I moved to BC to be closer to my parents and sister with her young family. Everyone has migrated from MB over the years and I was last to follow, so glad I did. BC is beautiful, been enjoying exploring trails, beaches and parks with my dog. People have been nice and helpful, I always look forward to meeting new people!

Great article for QL (quadratus lumborum muscle) dysfunction. Comes with awesome yoga stretches and links to exercises.

I recently went to a acupressure appointment (i wanted my hands and arms done) and I believe this caused my injury. It was done on my spine with lots of deep elbow pressure along my spine. Essentially caused my QL to shorten and pull R leg up-shortening it and pelvis is out now and twisted causing issues on L glute med. SI jt feels like constantly locking and spasming in deep gluteal muscles.
Ugggh I went in to get my hands and arms worked on, and let them do their thing. Mad at myself because I knew what they were doing was not right. I said few times to stay away from my low back. Too late tho.

To say the least never will I ever cheap out and go to a acupressure place like Big Feet again.
